Imagine standing on the edge of the awesome view at the cliff of the Ramon crater. Now imagine doing this while hanging off this cliff... Rappelling (abseiling) is extremely safe and secure, but it will still get your heart pumping and your blood rushing, like no other desert activity.
Without any prior experience we'll get you sliding down the face of the cliff with ease. All you need, really, is a daring heart. We will provide all of the safety gear needed, and our certified instructors will work 1 on 1 with you to coach you safely down the cliff. You control your own speed and descent, but we have a full backup system in work throughout the descent.

The southern coastal plain (south of Ashkelon including Gaza) offered fresh water from wells to coast-hugging ships of the ancient world, thus becoming an important entry point into Judea. From this entry point invading armies would make their way to Hebron & Jerusalem via the Judean lowlands (The Shephela). The seamline between the coastal plain and the Judean low hills threfor became a defensive line as evidenced by archaeological fortifications such as Tel Lahish.
Get to know the desert night sky at the first recognized Night Sky Park in the middle-east! In a 1-1.5 hours activity down within the Makhtesh Ramon crater you will meet your guide who will be waiting for you with at the middle of the desert with a telescope and a mat and mattresses to comfortably line on and watch the sky. For the extended activity extra telescopes a fire and tea/coffee and some snacks will also be served. While enjoying extraordinary view of the desert night sky, you will get an insight of the stars above and the universe sorrounding us.
