Shanghai Bus Tour Hop-on Hop-off Premium Ticket including City Top Attraction Admissions
So far so good
, Feb 2020
So far the hop on hop off was ok if you have all the time to wait its ok. They do not have a specific time when the bus arrives like every 15mins or 30 mins and when its almost 5pm they would wait and try to put all their passengers in 1 bus overall its fine if you are not in a hurry
Easy to find hop on hop off bus personal night tour was great tour guide very good with English . The bund ride was confusing as it was only one way and it didn’t say on ticket or where to pick the bus up but otherwise good
Experience all of Shanghai’s historical highlights and impressive landmarks on a hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus tour. Sail past alluring attractions like the People’s Plaza, the Nanpu Bridge, The Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple on a distinctive double-decker bus, and disembark whenever you wish to explore further. Use your pass to discover three distinct routes, all of which visit must-see monuments sure to capture your attention.
Our tour guide, Linda, and her driver arrived promptly at our hotel. We toured Shanghai, seeing all of the popular tourist sites including the spectacular high rise buildings in Pudong. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and in Shanghai, even though it was a short visit. At the end of the tour, we were delivered to our cruise ship as scheduled. We highly recommend this tour and tour company. Everything went as planned with no problems at all! Linda was a gracious host!
This was a fantastic use of time. Our guide, Alana, was great. I appreciated the early contact giving us information regarding immigration, where to meet, etc. We didn't have a lot of time but we felt we used the time well and got a good feel for the city for sure. We would certainly recommend this to other travelers with just a day layover.
Don’t spend your Shanghai stopover inside the airport; maximize your time in China and opt for a private and customizable sightseeing tour instead. This personalized layover tour is tailored to your needs and allows you to tick off The Bund (Waitan), French Concession, and Yuyuan Garden in limited time. Airport or hotel pickup and drop-off are included for added convenience.

Best of Shanghai Day Tour, including Jade Buddha Temple & Bund & Yuyuan Garden
Shanghai tour including Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund
, Dec 2019
Over all the tor was good but the following areas of improvement can be considered
Instead of visiting the Bund in the afternoon, evening visit should be preferred as the evening lights can be seen,
The tour guide should ensure that the tourist follow strict timelines. In my tour there were only three of us. My self and one elderly couple. After lunch the tour guide took us to a pearl show room and the elderly couple was allowed to spend unlimited time in the showroom for shopping. More than one hour was wasted on this.
Tom is a good guide. Full of information, dates, facts and figures. We visited the Shanghai Museum, three different temples, a silk factory, the jade and pearl center and a large open air flea market/mall area and the Bund. Every stop is an opportunity to shop, but I really felt it in the silk and jade shops. The shop workers hovering, pointing out sales and making suggestions. The tour group was less than 10 people which was great.
Enhance your sightseeing experience of Shanghai on an enriching full-day excursion around the city. See all of the city’s spectacular sights with a knowledgeable guide as you tour a selection of historical highlights; absorb the sacred majesty of the Jade Buddha Temple; immerse yourself in the city’s rich heritage at the Shanghai Museum; and stroll amid the botanical beauty of the Yuyuan Garden. Walk along the Bund and the former French Concession and enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch.
Shanghai Breakfast Walking Tour of Former French Concession
Must do tour
, Jan 2020
Have another 5 stars Jim!
Our family of 4 had a great time exploring Chinese cuisine in the French Concession with you and it was the standout highlight of our first visit to China.
Jim speaks great English and not only found us great food to teach us about and taste but spoke about the changing face of Shanghai for first time visitors.
Hard to pick out single highlights but I now know that you add flavour to noodle broth from the toppings you choose and the tea tasting was a revelation to our taste buds.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through Shanghai. Our tour guide was excellent, answering our many questions with good English and clarity. The food selection was good and the walk provided us a look at the back alleys and everyday life of many people in Shanghai. We highly recommend this tour.
Taste your way through the Former French Concession area of Shanghai on a tour that explores people, culture, and cuisine through the city’s breakfast foods. You’ll try more than 15 local breakfast treats, from ‘sheng jian bao,’ or pan-fried dumplings, to noodles, tea, and a beloved curry beef soup. Exciting and full of history
, Dec 2019
We had a day long lay over me and my wife in Shangai, China. And we decided to do a day tour. Glad we did. We were picked up at the airport by Mr. Wang, and then introduced to our tour guide Lily - who is extremely knowledgeable in Chinas history from architecture builders to the city's history. We were shown around all the historical land marks and a amazing Buddhist temple - so much history and so many picture perfect spots. She also took us to a authentic local food restaurant - AMAZING - finger licking food. Definitely motivated myself and wife to come back and do additional tours with Lily - so much more to cover. Thanks again Trip Advisor for linking us with them.

From $136.54 (Price varies by group size )
Shanghai Skyline River Tour with Great Dim Sum Dinner
, Jan 2020
We selected the option to eat at the Dim Sum restaurant and were so pleased with the food and the market area surrounding the restaurant. The river cruise was a great experience to enjoy the Shanghai skyline and city lights.
Shanghai is an international metropolis and her night scenery is charming and colorful. With the assistance of the knowledgeable guide, you will have a fantastic introduction to the Shanghai nightlife. The Bund looks completely different at night time. The ornate classical and modern buildings take on a new and exciting look as they are lit up by an abundance of colored lights. Taking a cruise along the Huangpu River and looking across the Huangpu River to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jinmao Tower is a magical sight. Depending on your preference, you can choose one for your dinner between the buffet at the Huangpu River Cruise and the special dim-sum at Dingtaifeng Restaurant, the most famous one in town.
1. Walk along the Bund and enjoy 26 buildings of different western architectural styles
2. Take a cruise along the Huangpu River and enjoy the night scenery

So much too see...the tour is great, very informative with the guided knowledge of an insider that knows the little details of these spectacular landmarks! Thanks for an easy, fun, informative, exhibit of Shanghai!!!
Patrick was a fantastic tour guide. Very personable and helpful with suggestions about what to do in the city, how to get around, etc. He even helped with a transfer to the airport upon my departure. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Peace of Mind tour
, Jan 2020
Sunny was my main point of contact when I booked the tour. She immediately contacted me and made me feel very reassured about the tour as she was able to answer all my questions and followed up with me from booking to tour date.
Even when my Visa was rejected the first time, Sunny reassured me I could try again (I would try to set aside minimum 2 hours between landing and tour start time to account for the possible visa issues, if layover is less than 24 hours).
I took the Maglev to meet my guide Feifei who was absolutely wonderful, very knowledgeable about Shanghai in every aspect. Despite the cold, dreary day, Feifei took me to all the tourist attractions and was very time efficient, so was the driver. Cannot say enough good things about them. They also made sure I made it back to my flight with plenty of time to spare. I recommend spending the money (although it's a way better deal with more than one person) for peace of mind in a new country.
My family of five adults enjoyed the flexibility of the private half day tour where Sunny allowed us to make our own itinerary- this was the highlight of our time in Shanghai. We got great photos and saw the our top priorities; The Bund, French Concession, etc. Sunny’s van driver got us to multiple sites rapidly and with ease. We wrapped up with the lights over the river. Highly recommended
During this fully customizable, private Shanghai tour, you get to call the shots. Enjoy a tailor-made itinerary—designed with your unique interests in mind—and choose between lunch and dinner options. Return travelers who have already ticked off the main sights can opt for lesser-known locations, like Jade Buddha Temple, Tianzifang Creative Park, or the Shanghai Propaganda Art Poster Center.
Enhance your experience of Shanghai regardless of time constrains on a morning or afternoon half-day sightseeing tour. See the best of Shanghai with a knowledgeable guide as you discover historical highlights like The Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple. Learn the complex process of pearl cultivation at the Fresh Water Pearl Gallery; absorb the antique charm of Shanghai Old Street; and delve into the city’s rich historical heritage at Shanghai Museum. Convenient round-trip transportation from your Shanghai hotel is included on this tour.
Late Night Food Tour in the Shanghai's French Concession
Like having a friend show you his hometown!
, Nov 2019
We very much enjoyed our food tour with Lu. He took us to multiple restaurants and bars, as well as a tea house with home cooked food. Since it was just the two of us, it was like having a private tour. We loved the food, and were even happier with the restaurant recommendations Lu gave us for the rest of our stay in Shanghai.
Jim was a good tour guide through the streets of Shanghai. We stopped at a few hole-in-the-wall places that would otherwise be completely passed by, and it was cool to eat food that only locals would really know.
This tour would be a better value if you're in a larger group or more of a drinker (I was traveling alone and there were only 2 others on the tour). Otherwise, given the relatively cheap cost of food in China this didn't seem much worth it in the end to me.
I'm not sure if we made an impromptu stop somewhere, but the order of food we ate was weird. We started with noodles and spicy pork, then followed with boba ice cream...but then continued to the brewery/beer tasting before having grilled street food and then stopping for local/traditional dishes at a tea shop and then soup noodles. I don't know about you, but I try not to follow dairy with beer.
I would have liked to have tried more Shanghai-specific dishes (dumplings, rice cakes, chow mein, scallion pancakes, etc.). Most of what we had was tasty, but forgettable. You probably could do the same on a side street with lots of food stalls, stopping for a bite at each one.
I appreciate the mostly mom-and-pop shop focus of the tour, but arguably this is true of most non-chain eating establishments in the city.
The beef noodle soup at the end that featured in a famous American celebrity chef's show was pretty good (and I have followed in his footsteps in many different cities), but ultimately I've had better--even in Shanghai. Of course, he was more about getting to know people and soaking up the local feel than about the food, and in this case it was no different.
Overall, this was a decent tour to occupy one of my nights in Shanghai. But if you're looking for insight into the food or food culture, you should look elsewhere.
Note that the tour does not end at the starting point, and it's mostly up to you to figure out your way back.
Explore Shanghai's former French Concession long after dark, tasting several local foods along the way, on this culinary walking tour. Learn about the history and culture of the Xintiandi and Zhaozhou Road areas through your guide's commentary, and leave the tour with your culinary and historical appetites sated.
Private Full-Day Tour: Shanghai Old and New Highlights

Tour of Shanghai
, Jan 2020
We had one day in shanghai to see the sites and spent it with Lily. She customized it to fit what we were interested in seeing and the weather (which wasn't great). This was a no rush tour - we had time to really enjoy the museum, gardens and the marketplaces. Overall, very nice day and would recommend to everyone.
Our Guide, the lovely Freya, picked us up at our Hotel on time. She took us all over Shanghai to see the main sights. She willingly answered all our questions, although, I would have liked her to be more proactive and provide information on her own. Regardless, we tremendously enjoyed the day, and the delicious dumplings lunch.
Thank You Freya and Sunny Tours!
This full day tour provided the perfect overview to Shanghai. We had limited time in the city and this tour gave us the highlights and allowed us get a feel for this beautiful, impressive city. We were traveling as a family of four (mom, three daughers ages 12, 8, and 4) and we all really enjoyed the day. Our tour guide, Lily, was fantastic! She was very friendly, knowledgable and very patient with the kids. The highlight of the tour was the amazing lunch Lily arranged (we booked the tour that included this option, and it did not disappoint!). The driver was also very courteous and the vehicle was clean and comfortable - for a reasonable cost the company provided round trip transportation from our Disneyland Hotel (which was outside the standard pick up Zoe). Overall I highly recommend this tour and Lily as tour guide!
Discover old and modern Shanghai as you wish on a full-day private tour. With a personal guide, explore attractions like The Bund, Ming-Dynasty Yu Garden, and Jade Buddha Temple, and visit the observation deck of one of Shanghai’s highest skyscrapers. Customize your itinerary to suit your and opt to explore by private vehicle with lunch and select entrance fees included, or by private vehicle or public transit with lunch and entrance fees at own expense.
With limited time for a tour, we booked a four hour private tour with a private car. We were met promptly in our hotel lobby by Fei Fei, our guide for the morning. We had listed a few specific ideas for places to visit but as is often the case, it was the places that we did not choose but were taken to by Fei Fei that were the most enlightening. We stumbled on a produce market from the Hunnan region and tasted apples, oranges, wickedly strong rice wine and Hunnan chilli sauce. Fantastic. Fei Fei also told us what it was like to live in Shanghai - not just the sort of information that can be gained from a guide book. Highly recommended.
This was a very good tour of some of the historical sites in the city. My tour guide, Penny, is very knowledgeable and speaks perfect English. She was able to adapt my tour around the times I had available. I would highly recommend.
Rather than struggling to plan your own itinerary, make the most of Shanghai on a private half-day tour. Available morning, afternoon, and night, it’s the perfect introduction for first-time China visitors. Just pick two or three attractions, perhaps the Bund, a Huangpu River cruise, a temple, a skyscraper, or a market, and design your dream day out. Entrance fees are at your own expense: upgrade to include a private car.
Nice night visiting 4 different restaurants. The guide Kate, British, gave insights into the different dishes and let us all taste rabbit head as well as Jelly fish to mention a few. Both educational and entertaining and definitely worth the price - value for money.
We had an amazing time with Paul! One thing that made this food tour unique was that we had multiple sit down venues. We've done countless food tours all over the world where you stand the entire time and get small tastings from a plate passed around. Not here! Come hungry and thirsty because the serving sizes are generous! Paul was very entertaining and it felt more like a party with friends than a food tour with strangers. Thank you for a wonderful and delicious time!
This tour was incredible - My only regret is that we attended on our last night in Shanghai. Had we gone on our first night, we would have known some of the best restaurants and food varieties!
Our guide Ashley was wonderful, very friendly, funny, and energetic. She was extremely knowledgable about the different regions in China, their histories, and foods. She was also very accommodating for members of the group with dietary restrictions and went out of her way to help provide alternatives (e.g. vegetarian meals, low-spice meals, etc.).
Absolutely make sure to bring an appetite and an adventurous spirit - The food is varied, and there's LOTS of it (and drinks to go with it, as well). The stand-out stop for me was the Schezuan restaurant that had plenty of delicious, spicy food, but all of the food was equally excellent.
Avoid the hassle of trying to find out where to grab a good meal while in Shanghai. This Shanghai food tour takes you off the beaten path as the sun starts to set so you can taste some of the most authentic regional dishes of the city. Pop into family-run eateries, and sample food, beer, and spirits well-liked by locals. Travel in a small group for a more intimate experience as you sample foods with a guide who also tells you about the city’s history and culture as you go.
Enjoy a relaxing half day tour to the remarkable ancient water town Zhujiajiao with your local lovely guide. Experience the charming "Oriental Venice "and explore the ancient water alley streets ;appreciate the traditional Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. Visit the classic Kezhi garden and enjoy a fun boat ride in the ancient waterways. Private tour insures a more flexible and personalized experience.
Tour of Jewish Shanghai led by a Jewish History Expert
A Don't Miss Tour in Shanghai
, Oct 2019
This was one of the very best tours that we have ever taken in 40 years of traveling. Dvir made the whole Jewish experience in Shanghai come alive. It is described as a walking tour, but in reality he arranged for us to sit periodically for extended explanations. There are also vans to transport the group over the longer distances. Whether you are Jewish or not - do not miss this tour
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide is a passionate expert on the topic of the history of the jews in Shanghai who speaks fluent English. It is a great way of seeing some of the history of Shanghai that you would otherwise be largely unaware of.

This food tour was amazing. Our guide Jimmy and his associate were fantastic. They took us through areas of downtown and back alleys where we were able to get an authentic experience of Shanghai.
Communication was outstanding and the variety of the dishes was great. The food was truly delicious.
I highly recommend this tour to everyone!
The tour was great, the food was AMAZING! We actually went back to the restaurants the following days. Our tour guide was kind enough to type out the orders for us in wechat so we could order the same things.

Had a wonderful experience during the half-day tour with Tom! He thoughtfully planned the route so that we experienced each attraction with minimal distraction / crowds. He was able to answer all sorts of cultural and historical questions with a great sense of pride and humor. Would certainly recommend this tour for hitting all the major sites while adding color and context you wouldn't get in seeing them alone.
Priveate Yu Garden, The bund, French Concession, Pudong Half-Day Tour
, Oct 2019
Tom was an excellent private tour guide. He arrived on time and provided us with a wealth of information about Shanghai and how the Shanghai Village started out as a small fishing village into what it is today. He gave us a clear understanding about how the French, British & American Concessions were established there also. Tom also answered the numerous questions my husband, son & I each had for him. He answered our questions about Hong Kong, the economics of Shanghai, the real estate, etc. about Shanghai, and so much more.
We would highly recommend this half day tour to anyone interested in learning about this city of Shanghai. I have been on tours of Shanghai in the past but Tom's tour is fabulous and the best I had taken.

Water Town & Shanghai City
, Dec 2019
Trip to the water village was fantastic, The weather was not great, But are tour guide was great her name was Berlin, When we went back to Shanghai city it was heavy rain and misty, So in instead of going Shanghai tower & the bunds, Berlin said it would be a waste of time going up the tower & the bunds as we would see nothing with the lack of visibility, So Berlin took us around Shanghai market and old Shanghai, Which was fantastic and something worth seeing, So thank you for the experience Berlin it was a fantastic day even in the poor weather
We booked a private tour only a few days prior to arriving in Shanghai, however, Alana was able to secure visas for all 8 members of our family and created a customized itinerary for us. She communicated frequently with us to ensure that we would get through immigration seamlessly and she was present to greet us warmly upon our arrival. Our guide, Caroline, was very sweet, knowledgeable and wonderful. She accommodated our requests and make excellent recommendations based on our interests and wishes. We had our elderly mother and 2 very young children with us and she was extremely patient with all of us. We had the very best meal of our entire 2 week trip at a restaurant that Caroline took us to and it was included in the tour package along with entrance fees to all the sites we visited. We felt very secure and safe with the driver. We were on a cruise with only 1 day to spend in Shanghai and it is because of Alana and Caroline that we would all love to return for a longer period of time to Shanghai. I highly recommend this private tour with this company.
Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai City Private Day Tour
, Nov 2019
Thoroughly enjoyed this private tour. Using WeChat, contact was Alana, who arranged for a comfortable and clean van with a dedicated driver and a guide named Wilson. Although still in his 20's, Wilson was knowledgeable about his hometown and spoke English very well. The morning was spent at the ancient Water Town that included lunch, then a drive back to the city. We went up the Shanghai Tower with admissions tickets included, then Jade Buddha Temple with admissions included. Before returning to our Grand Central Hotel (great place!), we stopped off at the French Concession and did short walk. Aside from the overcast obscured views from the Shanghai Tower we were very happy that we booked this tour. I've been to Shanghai in 1994, 2007 and now 2019 and it has evolved into a fascinating place with dramatic transformations witnessed in each visit.
Save time without compromising on experience on this door-to-door private guided tour that covers Zhujiajiao Ancient Town and key Shanghai highlights. First, explore the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao by boat and foot, and savor a local lunch. Then, spend the afternoon discovering Shanghai: the 16th-century Yu Garden, the Bund, and the Shanghai Tower. Upgrade to include a Shanghai dinner.
Suzhou and Zhouzhuang Water Village Day Trip from Shanghai
, Nov 2019
The attractions were good, but the mini bus should be sent to the wreckers it was small we all had to sit sideways or if you were small legs right into the other chair, plus a bit run down, 5 hours in the van, the guide was average he fell asleep in the first hour of our trip and then on the way home, I gave him a tip and he said it wasn't enough
Our tour guide Tom was excellent. He understood that we had read up on the histories of Suzhou and he added to our knowledge. We enjoyed the Master of Nets Garden which is a UNESCO site, and the water village of Zhouzhuang, where 20,000 people live and sell their wares.
Appreciate China’s provincial delights during a full-day tour of two charming traditional towns from Shanghai. Escape the metropolitan mayhem of the city and see how daily life has remained unchanged in these quaint and ancient enclaves. With an accomplished guide, stroll amid the botanical beauty of Suzhou’s gorgeous gardens; cruise along the waterways of Zhozhuang on a Chinese-style gondola; and appease your appetite with a delicious Chinese lunch in a rustic restaurant. Enjoy convenient round-trip transportation from your Shanghai hotel.
Fantastic day with Celine. She picked us up at the hotel and we visited the Bund, visited a garden that parents try to find a march for their child, went to Yu Garden, Confucius Temple, a silk factory, and a tea house fo a tea ceremony. We also ate at a local dumpling restaurant and walked around the very upscale French Concession. At the end of our tour, Celine instructed the driver to drive us around pointing out other architecture of the city on the way to the airport. Celine helped us get checked in and made sure everything was handled before she left us. We had so much fun and she was very personable. The driver was nice too. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shanghai! Thanks Celine!
Thanks to our Guide Peggy we had a wonderful day exploring this beautiful city. We saw so many different parts of Shanghai and enjoyed every minute of the day. Peggy's English was so very easy to understand. Loved her humour. Thanks so much Peggy for making our tour of Shanghai one we will remember. 4 very grateful Aussies.
