The driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel or any other location you prefer in Skopje. After approximately two and a half hours ride, we will arrive in Niš, Serbia. The Niš Fortress (Niška Tvrdjava) is the first site that we visit. We will walk along the walls, that are well preserved, enter the gates, and make a short promenade in the inside park. On our way to Kazandjiska Street we will pass by the King Milan Square and the Obrenoviceva shopping street. We can make the lunch break in the Kazandjiska Street, and taste the local cuisine and the local lifestyle. Our next attraction is the Skull Tower, built in Ottoman time, from the skulls of the Serbian rebels against the Ottoman rule. Today the tower is locates inside a chapel and is a Cultural Monument of Exceptional Importance. Afterwards, we will visit the “Red Cross” Concentration Camp, in which around 10.000 Serbs, Jews and Romani were killed in WW II. At the end we get in our comfortable vehicle and drive back to Skopje.
