This was my second trip with this company. I want to praise the accommodations for disability that made it possible for me to participate. The route given us (# 5, I think) was not as enjoyable for me as the one that went by the Battery, but it did yield a lot of new-to-me Charleston history. I was especially impressed that Rowdy, our horse, seemed to thoroughly understand the traffic lights even when our guide was facing us talking! I recommend this attraction. I had noticed in the past that the guides with red sashes seemed especially knowledgeable in the bit of narration you heard as they passed by. That is why I’ve chosen your company.
Went on the historic tour with our driver/guide Dennis. He was very knowledgeable about Charleston. Dennis made the tour very enjoyable. Probably the best driver/guide. After the tour we enjoyed lunch at Henry's, walked the city and got coffee at Bitty & Beau's.

Our guide was Dustin - a very agreeable pairing of Mary Louise Parker and Ronan Farrow: smart, sly and attention-grabbing. We learned things we didn’t know we needed to know, sampled comestibles we’d scarcely heard of and made new friends - all at once. Highly recommend
Visited 4 restaurants and ate a ton of food. We went to Hooked Seafood, Poogans Smokehouse, Hot Little Biscuits and Kaminsky's Dessert Café. Dale was super! She knew the history of the area and kept us engaged will her story telling. Great time!

Magnolia Plantation Tour with Transportation from Charleston
, Oct 2019
My Mum and I did this tour whilst on holiday in Charleston. Bus was comfortable, guide (Shawn) was clear, personable and organised, journey time to plantation was good (40 minutes ish). I liked the varied activities that came included in the tour that gave your a good overview of the gardens, wildlife and house itself, plus some free time. After a very sociable pick-up time of 10:30 we were then back in Charleston promptly for 3, it was nice to have a tour which didn't dominate an entire day but was long enough to feel full. My only criticism would be the lack of refreshment stop until 12:45 (although there was a bathroom stop upon arrival), an opportunity to get a coffee prior to this would've been really appreciated. I understand there's a schedule to keep to and overall all ran very smoothly. Would recommend.
Pickup and drop-off from downtown Charleston make it easy to tour Magnolia Plantation, one of the oldest plantations in the South. This 4-in-1 tour includes a narrated drive out to the plantation, a walking tour of the garden, tram tour through the property, and tour of the house itself, providing incredible value.
My tour guide, Will, was very knowledgable, friendly, and engaging. The tour was entertaining and fun. I learned very interesting facts about the roles religion played in our nation’s history, significantly in how diseased and deceased people were treated. I highly recommend this tour!
Mr. Neil was extremely friendly, shared great stories and showed chilling photos. The exclusive entry into the graveyard was great and we loved every minute of it! If you are looking for a ghost tour be sure to book this one with Mr. Neil, we look forward to seeing him again.

This is the perfect way to get off the main streets of Charleston and see some hidden alleys. Our tour guide Bill, a former history teacher, was great and kept us entertained. Small group, good pace, good length.

Visit the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon, a colonial building with a 300-year history; Rainbow Row, the longest cluster of Georgian row houses in the United States; plus historic Philadelphia Alley, and many more.
This trip was definitely worth the time and expense. Comfortable boat cruised us for 1.5 hours around the harbor with close-ups of the sites and excellent narration by Capt. Tripp. Wish we had known about the food on-board in advance as we had grabbed something fast onshore prior to boarding and would have preferred to eat a burger or pizza on-board. Did enjoy an adult beverage!
See the Charleston Harbor by boat with a leisurely sightseeing tour along the Cooper River to Fort Sumter National Monument. This fully-narrated tour focuses on Charleston history from Civil War sites to antebellum houses and landmarks, passes under Cooper River bridges, and explores a waterfront that’s home to bottlenose dolphins and pelicans.
This is the second year we took this trip and it is amazing! The staff are friendly. Our tour guide Trip was knowledgeable and helpful. We were on a larger boat that took 18 passengers. Every seat had a great view. You really get to see parts of the Charleston waterways you would miss on foot or by car. It's just the right amount of "science" and easy to understand facts about the area. Our party was three adults and although there were a few kids on the boat - the tour was appropriate for all ages. The best part is being able to wander around on Morris Island. We collected many sand dollars and beautiful shells. We will continue to do this boat trip every time we come visit! Well worth it!
Cruise through Lowcountry tidal creeks and marshes en route to the uninhabited Morris Island on this boat cruise from the Charleston area. A private boat company launches from Bowens Island for the scenic ride through an estuary rich in biodiversity before a soft landing on Morris Island. Spend free time to taking photos of the historic Morris Island Lighthouse, combing for seashells, and looking out for birds, sea turtles, and dolphins before your return.
Haunted Evening Horse and Carriage Tour of Charleston
A nice evening
, Dec 2019
Haunted Carriage Ride.
I enjoyed learning about the horses and the guides were very nice, but the stories weren’t scary and it was hard to hear the guide during.
They assign your seats, but try for the front- a better view and you can hear more.
All of the staff was friendly and the ride was nice, but it wasn't scary, the stories didn't correspond to anything particular along our route and I thought it lacked any tour type of info. I was hoping to get a little more history in the tour and also some scary stories that happened at the places we were passing.
Get all the thrills of a Charleston ghost tour without any walking on this haunted horse and carriage ride. A horse and carriage takes you down twisting side streets and cobbled alleyways with ease as your guide shares spooky stories from Charleston’s past. Make your way past the Mills House, the Circular Congregational Graveyard, and and Provost Dungeon in the heart of the Holy City.
Great tour and great meal prepared by a very talented chef
, Feb 2020
This tour by Chef Forrest was wonderful. Chef Forrest is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Savannah. He is just a very bright fellow and is also a talented chef. It was an interesting story to hear how he has shifted gears to get out of the long hour and pressures of being a restaurant chef to found his own company to improve the quality of his life. The meal Chef Forrest prepared for us was the best that we had on our trip to Charleston, Hilton Head, and Savannah.
Please, don't make the same mistakes I made so that you can have a fantastic experience. First, allow LOTS of extra time. Our tour started 10-15 minutes late (Chef Forrest was kindly buying umbrellas for the group as we had a light rain that morning). Then, with good discussion throughout, at 30 minutes past the scheduled end time, he was just serving the second course. It broke my heart to have to leave mid-meal, although Chef couldn't have been nicer about it. The other mistake I made was to go on the "Best of Charleston - History, Culture, and Architecture" tour prior to this one. There was enough overlap between the two that I regretted that choice. Chef Forrest goes into quite a bit of those areas along with talk of cuisine. But, it was all wonderful and I highly recommend!
This walking tour and interactive lunch combo provides a two-in-one experience in Charleston. With a celebrated local chef, Forrest Parker, you'll start with a 1.5-hour historical walking tour about the influences of Lowcountry food in the city of Charleston. Then watch a cooking demonstration from Parker before enjoying lunch paired with wine.
Jeff did a wonderful job of introducing us to Charleston. Our tour was very comprehensive in that he showed us all the tourist attractions along with little known sights and historical information about the city and its people.
I would highly recommend this tour not only for the information presented, but also because of Jeff. Jeff was polite, personable, on time and just an all around great tour guide.
A comfy 2 hour drive around Charleston learning its rich history with a tour guide that is friendly and informative. And we even got picked up and dropped off at our hotel. It is worth every penny and you will not regret it!

Evans Byrd was our guide and was awesome! We learned so much and now have ideas for our next trip as in visiting the Calhoun House and the other two historic houses he pointed out - and plan to go out to Ft Sumter. It was one of the better walking tours we have been on!
Travel back in time to discover one of America’s most historic cities—Charleston, South Carolina—on this guided walking tour. Middleton Place Tour & Lunch with Transportation from Charleston
Pineapple tour of Middleton Place
, Nov 2019
Middleton Place is just beautiful and the personnel are exceptional volunteers. The history and artifacts are fascinating. I only wish we could have had more time. The lunch was out of this world good.
Middleton Place is one of the most popular plantations in the Charleston area, but getting there can be tricky without a private car. This tour makes it easy by including transportation from downtown Charleston aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned van, plus a guided tour of the house upon arrival. A 3-course lunch is also included for a taste of Lowcountry cuisine.
What a great way to see Charleston and learn about the history. Would recommend, and will probably do this again next time we visit. Our guide was a local, born and raised, had some interesting insights and was really funny.
Ride a horse-drawn carriage through the heart of historic Charleston on a guided tour through the heart of the city. Soak up the old fashioned charm of cobblestone streets lined with antebellum houses, lush gardens, and landmark churches as you listen to stories about Charleston history, architecture, and culture.
Boone Hall Plantation Tour with Transportation from Charleston
, Dec 2019
If staying in Mount Pleasant, use your own car. Not worth cost of van driver, who only gave us her family info, not much about the areas we drove through.
House tour, 40+ adults & children, didn't have enough time to really look at everything in the 4 rooms we went in. More people & 1 less room than tour details specified.
Slave cabins history info & Gullah history were the most worthwhile part of tour.
Butterfly cafe closed before time stated on sign.
Overall, excess cost was not justified.
My friend and I booked this tour and found it lived up to our expectations. It was well run and well laid out. The old slaves quarters were especially interesting and informative. Would recommend this tour if you have the time.
Visit Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens on this 4.5-hour tour from Charleston. One of the oldest working plantations in the United States, Boone Hall was founded in 1681 and still grows crops. During your tour led by a guide in period costume, you'll see the plantation's slave quarters and learn about its history and modern-day use. Select a morning or afternoon departure time when booking. Enjoy a personalized experience on this small-group tour of just 15 people.
This visit was the fourth time I have been there. For the love of my life, it was his first. We had the greatest time ever. I would recommend medieval times for anyone who wants to visit Myrtle Beach. It is worth every single penny. I love it and I will be back.
Enjoy a royal feast and thrilling tournament in Myrtle Beach with tickets to Medieval Times, and spend an evening in a sumptuous castle lined with armor, artifacts and coats of arms. See a thrilling display of falconry and horsemanship as you linger over a four-course, medieval-style meal. Listen to the pounding of hooves in the Grand Ceremonial Arena, cheer your personal knight through a series of jousting matches, then see Queen Maria Isabella crown the evening’s champion with plenty of pomp and fanfare.
Convenient location. Beautifully maintained boat.
The crew were nice and offered answers to your questions, but no “guided tour” . Drinks available for purchase. A chance for some great pictures! Smooth easy trip with a soft docking. A little music played only toward the end, wish it would’ve been throughout, since the crew weren’t that socially involved. Pricey but my 12 yro loved taking the pictures that were abundant.
Watch the sunset from the water on a 2-hour evening cruise aboard an 84-foot (25-meter) classic tall ship. As the crew hoists the sails of the schooner, you'll glide through Charleston Harbor to enjoy the glow of twilight over one of the oldest cities in the U.S. Drinks are available for purchase on board.
I highly recommend a sightseeing tour with Pineapple Tours, especially if it’s your first visit to Charleston. We were able to see all the highlights of Charleston in a comfortable van and get a “lay of the land”. Our tour guide, Benjamin, was born and raised in Charleston. He was not only compassionate about the city, but extremely knowledgeable about its history and points of interest.
An air-conditioned sightseeing bus offers a refreshing Charleston Sightseeing Tour for summertime visitors trying to escape the heat or those with limited mobility. Roll by popular "Holy City" sights like Rainbow Row, the Battery, White Point Gardens, Nathaniel Russell House, and St. Michael's Church from wide viewing windows while your guide informs and entertains with stories from Charleston's rich past.
I was recently in Charleston for 5 nights and this ghost tour was my absolute favorite thing I did! I had such a great time! The guide was so funny and knowledgeable. I particularly liked that we went into the oldest graveyard in Charleston, while other groups didn't, they just stayed at the gates. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone! A++
Peek into Charleston’s shadowy history with a chilling nighttime walking tour of the city’s most eerie sites! Wind through the dark corridors of the Historic District and hear spooky tales of graveyard hauntings, voodoo and botched burials from your local guide. Pass by infamous locations with grisly histories and wander through the Charleston’s oldest cemetery after hours.
I really enjoyed our tour guide Gordon - he was very knowledgeable about Charleston history and we tried a lot of good food. My only feedback would be to change the first location. We went to Another Broken Egg Cafe - which had very good grits and fried green tomatoes - BUT there’s a location in Dallas. Seemed a little funny to be seeing the sights of Charleston at a spot I could go in my home city. Another guest on the tour said there’s also one in New York as well. That’s my feedback but overall nice tour
Discover the delights of the Charleston food scene on this walking tour. With a guide, you'll learn about the cuisine of the Lowcountry region as you explore this historic city and sample local food products such as stone-ground grits, pralines, collard greens, and South Carolina barbecue. Tour is limited to 12 people for a small-group experience.
This was a wonderful historic tour. Sean is a retired history teacher and really knows what he is talking about and does a great job conveying the history. In addition, Sean is very considerate. We were late due to wrong GPS taking us blocks past the correct location. Sean called us, directed us back and picked us up closer to the parking garage. Many thanks and we highly recommend!
Alan, our tour guide, was like the uncle that I never had! We came down from the Jersey Shore for three days and had limited time to see the city. The hour and a half tour was good insofar as hitting the historic spots and hot spots. Uncle Alan’s narration during tour was very informative and very interesting. Second to none! Along the tour route we stopped along the river and disembarked the coach for picture taking with Fort Sumter in the distance. Alan came with us and helped snap pictures and gave us more info. Two Thumbs up for the trip!

Capt Mark was great. Merideth was very knowlegable and gave great commentary. We saw a ton of dolphins including babies! We spent quite a bit if time idling and enjoying the playful dolphins. On the way back we saw a manatee
It was a slow day for dolphin watching but the crew arranged for the cruise to saty out an extra half hour where we saw many dolphins. The crew went above and beyond in trying to have everyone experience a fruitful voyage. In addition, we were promised a free cruise at a later date. Highly recommend this cruise
Learn about the marine life populating the waters off the coast of Hilton Head Island on this dolphin watching cruise. Up your chances of spotting dolphins and other marine animals with the help of your professional guide, who will also provide information about the ecosystem as you go.
Need some wind to enjoy this trip good for small kids but maybe a little boring for the older ones & nonseats availanke your sitting on a cushion so if you have a bad back or trouble getting up from the floor it may not be the best trip for you but 1st mate & staff were great!
The sail was excellent and comfortable for most on board. The captain was experienced and interacted with passengers well. People with mobility issues had some occasional difficulties. Seating is not comfortable and if weather is bad no place for protection in the boat. Our sail was pleasant due to good conditions.
This is the second time I've gone sailing on this boat on Hilton Head. Totally enjoyed it and will likely do it again in the future. Saw lots of dolphins and pelicans feeding. Wonderful, relaxing way to spend an afternoon
A sailboat cruise from Hilton Head is a peaceful way to see stunning Lowcountry landscapes without the noise of a moor. Join a captain and crew aboard a 39-foot long (12 meter) sailboat that competed in America’s Cup—head through quiet waters and past gorgeous scenery without the roar of a motor. You can even try your hand on deck and help out with the sails.
Embark on a nautical adventure aboard the Black Dagger pirate ship, which transforms kids into little pirates for a treasure hunt on the waters of Hilton Head. The crew provides kids with pirate costumes and pirate lessons before setting sail in search of treasure. This family-friendly cruise has a choice of several departures in the morning and afternoon, making it easy to fit into your schedule.
My sister, her daughter, and I took the Dolphin Ocean Cruise on 10/12/2019. I accidentally booked the 1400 (2 PM) cruise; the cruise operator switched us to the 4 PM cruise with no question, even though the 2 PM cruise had already sailed. VERY grateful for the customer service.
The cruise itself was splendid. Not only did we see lots of dolphins, we also saw two bald eagles in the wild -- a sight that awed my family. Note that the cruise does not leave the harbor.
The crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, and kept my family engaged for the duration of the cruise. We saw multiple pods of dolphins throughout the tour and had a fantastic view. With fun and affordability I'd recommend this cruise to anyone!
On this dolphin watching cruise from Hilton Head, you have the chance to see wildlife, check out local landmarks, and admire the coastline as you cruise out on the Calibogue Sound and Atlantic Ocean. Your guide narrates the entire trip as you sail past Bull Island, the Haig Point Lighthouse, and more, all while looking out for dolphins, egrets, herons, and other animals in the wild.
