The local company was a pleasure to deal with. Wonderful brief introduction to the city. Boat tour doesn't operate in winter, so they substituted the ferry; cable car was out of order, so they substituted the cog railway. All done smoothly, efficiently and in good spirit. A relaxed, pleasurable afternoon.
I plan this trip for my group of friends (16) and wasn’t disappointed. The bus was comfortable with a guide and it gave us a chance to quickly see Zurich enabling us to plan our remaining days and what we wanted to see. All my friends felt the same.

Chamonix Montblanc Day Trip from Geneva with optional Cable Car Ride and Lunch
Great day trip
, Sep 2019
This is a great place to visit. It can get cold at the top so suggest bringing a ski (or thick) jacket. Note however this is not really a guided tour. We were picked up at our hotel and you get some pre-recorded commentary in the mini-van on the way to Chamonix. You are then given your tickets for the day but then basically left on your own until you are picked up for the drive back to Geneva. So this is potentially a trip that you could do on your own. There is quite a lot to see with quite lengthy waiting times so keep an eye on the time.
amazing views, great trip well worth the money. I did the full package without the lunch. heres how it goes. you are picked up at hotel, nice little benz van, takes you on a nice scenic 90 min drive to montblanc. you then get to cable car and get your reservation number which is only like a 20-30 minute wait where you can walk around a little bit. then you go on the scariest cable car ever if you are scared of heights, two cable cars to get to the top 12,500 feet. amazing views, easy cheap eatery at the top, dont waste money on the lunch package in my opinion. after about an hour at the top you want to come down, and then you have like 3 hours to explore whats around mount blonc. we took a train about 6,000 feet up with great views (included in the full package tour). at the top of this train ride there are other vistas for the less faint of heart, another eatery for pretty cheap compared to that expensive resturaunt. (there are also plenty of restaraunts in the actul town of mount blanc, its like a french alps "vail "colorado town in my mind if you been there. ) at the top of the train, you can take a gondalo ski lift down to the glacier. but what they dont tell you is that the gondola leaves you at a platform where you then have to walk 420 stairs down to the glacier. that also means 420 steps back up tp the gondalo. thats like a 35 story climb of stairs. no thanks..
All in all, great tour, Evan our guide was very nice and made sure we all met easily and gave us our tickets needed for the day. best pics and views if you are in geneva, must do.
Visit Chamonix in a way that suits you best with this customizable day trip from Geneva. Opt for a transfer-only option to reach the pretty French mountain town with minimum fuss direct from your hotel or select the full package option to also include tickets to the Aiguille du Midi cable car and Montenvers railway. Otherwise, splurge on the all-inclusive day trip that teams transport and tickets with lunch at one of Chamonix’s acclaimed restaurants.

Good views, but audio tour and booking were frustrating.
, Dec 2019
The pros were that the company was flexible on timing - we missed our scheduled time, and they said we could simply come on the next trip scheduled that day. It was a different and more relaxing way to see Lucerne than walking, of which we'd already done a lot.
The cons were that the day was cloudy, so the views were not as good (but I still felt it was worth it), and the audio tour, which was a bit corny if informative, did not ever match with the scenery so it was difficult to know what you should be looking at.
The other con was paying for the trip. Everyone in our group had a Swiss Travel pass, which should have made this cruise completely free, but there was no place to fill the Travel Pass info in when booking online, so I ended up calling Viator to try and explain the situation. They had no idea if it was covered by the Swiss Travel Pass, and asked me to take screenshots of where I saw online that this cruise would be covered and then email it to them. I was booking it the day before, so I took the screen shots, sent them to Viator, and asked them to respond as quickly as possible so I knew we had tickets for the next day. I didn't hear anything, so I ended up paying full price so we could go on the boat the following day. Even now, it's been nearly a week and I still haven't heard anything back from Viator about whether this should have been covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. I found it frustrating that a travel company is not aware of something that is quite common when traveling in Switzerland, and that their response to my inquiry has been very slow.
