Flea markets are typically known as markets held in the outdoors and that usually involve the resale of old goods, secondhand items and antiques. In Sydney, there might not be many of these traditionally known flea markets, but you can be sure that markets in general are never hard to find. Best of all, they make for a fun and perfect way to spend a day on the weekend, with friends and with the incorporation of a nice market snack or lunch in the middle.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the best markets in Sydney – first the flea markets and then the more modern style markets with new goods for sell.

Rozelle Markets

The Rozelle Markets could be classified as a traditional flea market since it focuses the majority of its sales on older, used, and secondhand goods such as books, art and knick knacks. These markets take place every Saturday and Sunday in the Sydney suburb of Rozelle, just up the road from Balmain. Find it on the corner of Darling and Victoria Street.
