Raohe Street Night Market Tours

Each evening, one of Taipei’s oldest markets takes over a 2,000-foot (600-meter) stretch of Raohe Street in Songshan District. This traditional Taiwanese market has become one of the city’s most popular evening destinations for street food. Vendors packed between two ornate gates – marking the ends of the market – sell pork ribs, vermicelli noodles, oysters, stinky tofu, fried scallops, barbecued sausages, and black pepper buns. Tables are set up along the center of the pedestrian street where, if you’re lucky, you might snag a place to sit and enjoy the food.

Practical Info

Like many of Taipei’s night markets, Raohe Street Night Market can get extremely crowded. If you’re bothered by the crowds, plan to visit right at 5pm when the market first opens.
