The Basics

This beach has become one of the most developed on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula. Some visitors say the beach town has lost its authentic charm, while others enjoy the modern restaurants, nightlife, and creature comforts. Regardless, the mile-long, crescent-shaped beach offers plenty of space to sunbathe; the shallow, calm waters make for good swimming conditions; and sailing, kayaking, fishing, and surfing are all popular activities. All-terrain vehicle tours and sailing cruises are also available.

The crew made it fun!
Smaller boat with a great crew of two. Very attentive, professional and they made it fun too. Traditional Costa Rican food with fresh fruit. An open bar with just about anything desired.

Canopy Tour In Tamarindo Beach
What an amazing experience! The views and zip lining was an incredible experience but it was our tour guides that made it the most memorable. Hector and Eduardo aka King Kong and David such wonderful guys. I would say this is a must for anyone visiting Costa Rica.

Buena vista Mega Combo Tour at Rincon de la Vieja Volcano from Tamarindo Beach
The whole day was great! The hot springs are stunning, with the chance to enjoy a massage listening to the sound of the waterfall. The zip lining and water slide were so fun and even the food was delicious! 100% recommend

Best tour we have ever done!! We got to experience a variety of activities in one day! Our host Rainer was amazing. He told us lots of information about Costa Rica and was there to guide us through our day with such kindness. If you are contemplating which tour to do while in Costa Rica I highly recommend this one! PURA VIDA!

Catamaran Sunset Cruise of Tamarindo Beach
The staff were amazing. Always there to keep a drink in hand! The cruise itself was just the right amount of time. Two major issues though. First, was the fact that the toilet. We were told about this just before boarding. Second, they ran out of food at the end. We were kind of expecting snacks throughout there were chips/salsa and overall plenty of food. I think everyone got a fair amount of food but they did run out after lunch.

Catamaran Sunset Cruise of Tamarindo Beach
One of the best parts of my solo 30th birthday trip! The crew is awesome. Friendly, helpful, and kept the drinks coming with whatever we wanted. Snorkeling was fun! Not a lot of fish but we saw a baby octopus and puffer fish. The views were amazing. Beautiful out on the water away from everything! Great people. The boat fits A LOT without feeling crowded and we all had great conversation with new friends. Highly recommended!

Canopy Tour In Tamarindo Beach
This was a fun tour. It went quick. I felt a little like they rushed us through it. There were a couple of breaks and areas where we could sit and take in the scene but they kept us moving pretty quickly. Saw some monkeys. There was a little monkey zoo at the bottom that was fun too.

Catamaran Sunset Cruise of Tamarindo Beach
The tour was great but the winds were quite crazy that day. We weren't able to take advantage of any of the water stuff. That was really disappointing. I understand the water were too rough but I was hoping that wouldn't have been the case the day we went. The crew was really amazing and always there to please. I like that the boat has a small group. We saw a few with triple the amount and they looked miserable and over crowded. Already recommended to a friend who's going in March.

Ranier was a wonderful tour guide! He picked us up at our hotel on time and we made it to the volcano park in less than an hour and a half. The ziplines 10 in total were super fun! The volcanic mud and hot springs were very relaxing. And the lunch was surprisingly delicious! My friend and I ordered the chicken and fish so that we could split both. For the ladies--You'll want to wear workout capris/sport bra/tank top with lots of sunscreen for the first part of the trip horseback ride ziplines. Then you change in the restrooms into swimsuit for the slide and hot springs they provide towels. I wore a black bikini so my suit wasn't destroyed after the mud! Highly recommend!

Catamaran Sunset Cruise of Tamarindo Beach
Friendliest staff that caters your every need! They were ready to serve drinks the moment we got on the catamaran and made sure you always had one in your hand. Very funny staff that made the trip super enjoyable, took pictures for us and answered many questions we had about animals and scenery we saw. Great for couples and families. Hour ride out to a snorkeling cove watching dolphins on the way out. During snorkeling a staff member would dive down to retrieve starfish, puffer fish, sea cucumbers for you to view up close and even hold! We saw a variety of sea life. An hour or so later is lunch, chicken/fish wraps, delicious dip and chips, fresh fruit and cookies. Afterwards you start trip back while watching the sunset. Great music!
