Guachipelin Adventure Volcano Zipline Horseback River Tubing Combo
What a day!
, Feb 2020
What a great trip! I'm almost 69, but in pretty good shape, and I didn't have any trouble with the physicality of the adventure. The river tubing was tons of fun, the zipline course was really cool, and added in some Tarzan swings, rock climbing, and rappelling if you chose to do those parts. The horseback riding was horseback riding, so if you like to ride or always wanted to try, it was fun, although a bit crowded on the trail. Finishing at the hot springs was a treat, and helped my body relax after a very physical day. I was exhausted when I got back to my cabana, and slept really good. Our overall guide, Dauly, was super, and I enjoyed the banter with him. The group was very diverse and I had a wonderful time talking and playing with all the folks. The beauty of the area is spectacular and well worth the money to see this part of Costa Rica. I highly recommend this excursion.
This was the most amazing tour ! Everything was as promised, on time, well taken care of and amazing experiences, a once in a lifetime event ! First we did the river tubing, scary but really fun, a great lunch followed, then the 9 zip lines, also scary but fun. Then the horseback trail ride and finally the hot spring pools and volcanic mud body painting. A truly wonderful day with a very good guide, Amoa. We did not have trouble with any of the hiking so would recommend it for anyone. The only thing we did not do was the rappelling and rock climbing between zip lines 5 and 6.
Hacienda Guachipelin is amazing. They are very well structured and the activities are beyond amazing. The tubing, specially, is exhilarating.
We visited on Jan 3 and the hacienda was super busy so our group was quite large, this is the only negative thing I have to say. This obviously is just because it’s high season and lots of tourists were there, same as us.
All in all, a must do!
Enjoy the thrill of this all-day adventure that includes some of the best outdoor fun. Get your adrenaline pumping on an exciting zipline tour, horseback riding through epic landscapes, and tubing along a flowing river. This memorable tour includes a visit to natural hot springs, a volcanic mud bath, and a full buffet lunch. It's the best way to experience the natural wonder of Costa Rica!
I enjoyed the experience. The food was creative finger foods which were tasty, the snorkeling was fun and as always nature's sunset could not be rivaled. The crew was exceptional very friendly, timely and helpful. So why did I give it 3 stars, the music the guitarist music selection was depressing, not one up beat or Caribbean based song in either of his 30 minute sets, the pipes in radio music was much better. I'd have to call it the snooze cruise
This was one of the highlights of our trip!! The staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating. The open bar was perfect, staff were constantly refilling our drinks and handing out food in a perfect spaced out time. Thank you so much Darcy!!! Everyone was amazing. Pura vida!
Experience the natural beauty of an epic sunset cruise from the coast of Tamarindo. Enjoy an open bar, a 6-course gourmet meal and a truly memorable afternoon aboard an 80-foot Schooner on this Antares sailing sunset cruise. Whether it's relaxing on deck with a drink in hand, or dancing to local music and snorkeling amid tropical fish, this afternoon on the water is sure to make memories.
Highly recommend this tour!
I was a little nervous going to Nicaragua... but tour guides assured it was safe, wow! What an amazing, vibrant and welcoming country! The tour was very smooth and well organized. Tour guide Paul and Claudio were amazing! I was picked up from my hotel and they were very punctual, we had always enough time for pictures, bathroom breaks and exploring. I felt a safe at all times, Granada was just amazing! Also the volcano!
Crossing the boarder was very quick and smooth! Thhis one day trip was a perfect trip to get a taste of Nicaragua! Highly recommend it :)
Grab your passport and head over the border for a whistle-stop tour of Nicaragua’s best bits, from Liberia in Costa Rica. Take in the views from Catarina Volcano, haggle over handicrafts at the Masaya Artisan Market and visit the active Masaya Volcano. After a delicious lunch of typical Nicaraguan cuisine, explore the colonial town of Granada, where you can marvel over the historic architecture and admire views of Mombacho Volcano. Finally, set sail across Lake Nicaragua for a 1-hour sunset cruise, stopping to meet the friendly monkeys of Monkey Island along the way.
Rio Celeste Hiking, Sloth Sanctuary & Llanos de Cortes Waterfall Tour
, Feb 2020
Very good experience with waterfall swim , loved the hike through jungle and seeing the gorgeous waterfall in tonario national park! Didn’t see much wildlife but that was okay
Only complaint was they ran out of water!! They should have had way more considering the heat and activities!!
I had a wonderful excursion! I was on my own, but felt completely comfortable as the group was not overwhelmingly large and the guide, Martin was fantastic.
I highly recommend this trip. I saw other reviews say that it is long, and it is, but a lot is squeezed in and in my opinion, worth the time and money.
this was a wonderful tour, the only reason for 4 star vs. 5 star rating is the amount of time spent on bus between destinations, total of 13 hours, over half of this was spent on bus without Wifi. The guide, Martin, was fun, knowledgeable and entertaining. The time spent at first waterfall with swimming opportunity could have been longer. Rio Celeste was amazingly blue but well-planned and safe steps 260 of them were crowded at midday. Lunch was plentiful and delicious. Sloth sanctuary also included monkeys, spider, ants, tree frogs and beautiful vegetation. this tour could have been improved with multiple pickup/drop off points (we were first on, last off) and wifi on bus. Overall a great experience!
Get an up-close look at Costa Rica's hidden natural wonders on this Rio Celeste and Llanos de Cortes waterfall tour from Tamarindo. Follow an expert local guide through breathtaking scenery, rugged trails, and truly beautiful attractions. This is the perfect way to explore outside the city and see what makes Costa Rica a top attraction for nature lovers.
Outstanding. We had a nice small group which was helpful for getting the max out of our guide Jose’s depth of knowledge. Breakfast was delicious and from a stunning view of Lake Arenal. The hole through the rainforest that followed was fascinating and helped immensely by our eagle eyed guide. Lunch was great and could not have had a better view of the volcano. A long day of travel but the trip description had us well prepared for this. Hot springs were a nice visit.
Experience the thrill of hiking near one of the most active volcanoes in the Western Hemisphere! On this full-day trip from Guanacaste, get an up-close view of Costa Rica's famous Arenal Volcano and the surrounding tropical landscape. Rejuvenate with a dip in volcanic hot springs and enjoy stellar evening views of the volcano and emerging stars. Round-trip hotel transport from Guanacaste included.
Zipline and Hanging Bridges Combo Tour in Monteverde Cloud Forest
One of the best tours!
, Jan 2020
Amazing tour!! We went 3 college aged girls and all loved every part of it. The only tip would be, when it says it's a 12 hour tour that includes commuting from places outside of Monteverde. The latest you can stay here with a shuttle home is 4:30 which means your day is over much earlier than you anticipate. Other than that the entire experience was amazing and we would do it all again!
My husband and I loved this tour! Our driver Paul was awesome, and kept us laughing the whole way! He picked us up promptly, and we stopped for some breakfast. Along the way to Monteverde, Paul stopped so we could see some macaws. He was extremely patient while we took pictures. The trip up Monteverde was an adventure in itself lol. The road is narrow and bumpy, with no guard rails, but Paul was an expert driver, and navigated it like a pro! Again, he stopped plenty of times so we could take pictures of the amazing scenery. When we arrived at the park, he accompanied us inside to make sure we got our tickets, and knew where to go. We did the canopy zipline first, which was lots of fun. The guides were helpful and very knowledgeable, and safety was their first priority. You have to pay $11 extra to ride the last zipline "Superman" style, which we chose not to pay for. We did however pay $25 for pictures to be taken professionally along the zipline course. Well worth the money! The views from the 15 ziplines were amazing, but be sure to pack a light rain proof jacket, as it's much cooler and often raining, in the canopy. Also, there was a lot more walking then we expected, so a good pair of runners, and a moderate fitness level is a must. Next we had lunch in the restaurant. Service was excellent, and the food was "ok". After lunch we walked the hanging bridges. The hike is about 3 kms in total, but you can go at your own pace, which was nice. The views were breathtaking!!! Before we left the park, Paul took us into the Hummingbird Garden. He showed us how to hold our hands out so the hummingbirds would perch on us, and my husband and I were in awe. Such a beautiful moment... I could have stayed there forever! Again, I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed this trip. Having Paul as our driver was an added bonus! He's really awesome at what he does, and his genuine happiness and love of CR was obvious. This was a terrific excursion, and we'd happily do it again! Thanks Paul!!!
The staff was very friendly and professional. The views of the forest’s canopy were amazing from the zip line. But I will say that my favorite part of the trip was the walk through the forest across the hanging bridges.
Exchange the sun and surf for for a high-flying adventure in the misty Monteverde Cloud Forest on this full-day combo tour from Tamarindo. Fly through the forest canopy on a 15-cable zipline course featuring a gravity-defying Superman cable and a Tarzan swing, and slow down for a closer look at Monteverde's rich biodiversity while walking through the tree tops along a series of hanging bridges. In between adventures, replenish your energy with a typical Costa Rican lunch.
We booked through Gabriel who was extremely helpful during that process. Our guide, Jose was at our vacation house on time and the van was very clean. We were lucky to be the only ones going that day so it was like a private tour! Jose was amazing, perfect english, so knowledgeable about his country, the people, the attractions, the wildlife etc etc.
I could go on and on but it would be a novel. Do yourself a favor, book with these guys. They know their stuff and do it right.
Great private guided tour. Gabriel was a perfect guide. He spoke perfect english and knew the areas very well. It was a private tour with just my wife and I, so we could spend more time in the volcano/rain forest, and skip the waterfall. Hot spring was unique for us. Never had done anything like that before.
Our goal is to help visitors to have a memorable experience during their visit to Costa Rica, on a very ahutentic way providing private transportation and a personal and friendly professional local guide to assist them during the trip.
More than making business we like to make new friends.
Get a full-day dose of Costa Rican ‘pura vida’ on this private adventure that combines the best of Guanacaste’s thrills, relaxation, and cuisine. Get your heart rate up on an extreme zipline course complete with a giant Tarzan swing, then splash down the country’s longest mountain water slide. Enjoy a horseback ride through the jungle to reach a natural hot springs, where you can soak your cares away with volcanic mud baths. Recharge with a typical Costa Rican lunch, and enjoy personalized attention from a private guide all day.
Weather is everything. We went on a day where the weather could have gone either way. It held until after the end of the tour. The coffee tour was informative, the butterfly sanctuary as well. The Hanging Bridges were something I've wanted to see for quite a while now. They didn't disappoint!! Monkeys in the trees below and the trees growing right up to the bottom of the bridges in some cases. The clouds hovering around made for just the right atmosphere. Very nice! The Hummingbird Sanctuary was impressive. At least 10 different species (out of 400 in Costa Rica) flying around and even landing on your hands to perch and drink from the feeders. Rain didn't start until we got back on the bus heading back.
The tour of the Don Juan coffee plantation was interesting and informative. The butterfly habitat was fascinating, are we got good photos. Unfortunately, heavy rain during the sky walk kept us from seeing wildlife. The forecast was for the highest chance of rain in the afternoon - it would have been much better if the sky walk and the plantation tour could have been switched - they are not very far apart.
Enjoy a full-day tour to Monteverde where the clouds meet the woods and take an exhilarating walk through the famous cloud forest on hanging bridges. Sky Walk uses trails and a series of suspension bridges for a more relaxing introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest. It allows a vision of the forest from a different perspective which starts with a hike on the ground and then taking you to explore the treetops, a hardly discovered habitat called the “canopy” with a professional guide.
Vida Aventura Park in Guanacaste: Zipline Tour, Horseback Ride and Hot Springs
Action-Packed Adventure Day
, Jan 2020
*wear deep woods bug spray!* We started with horse-back riding which wasn't your average trail ride...it was super interesting and not just a large trail the horse just walks on. There are hills and streams and windey turns (may be challenging for first-time riders). Our leaders were amazing and really looked out for everyone in the group. Suzie (the guide dog) came along the horseback ride as well and even met us at every point of the zip line (we still have no idea how she made it so quickly...she may have magical abilities but we'll never know!) The zip line was exhilarating and the views are breathtaking! They even allow you to do one of the zip lines upside-down! We then ate a delicious lunch of local food. Our day was finished by soaking in the hot springs, covering ourselves in mud and taking a cool dip in the fresh water pool. I would definitely do this tour again and recommend it to anyone who's in a time crunch and wants to do multiple activities!
We booked this excursion for 15 people and there was a bit of a confusion with the pick-up but Jorge was kind enough to discount our transportation cost and he was able to provide transportation to and from our resort. The guides were very knowledgeable, very patient with a large group. The horsebacking riding was amazing through the mountains and seeing the volcanoes. The zip lining was a very good experience as most of the group had never done that before. It was a easy transition. The Costa Rican lunch was delicious and just enough to fill our bellies. The hot springs and pool were a added plus.
This excursion well worth the cost.
You can actually go and spend a couple of nights there so its a mini getaway. We looked at the 2 and the 4 bedrooms with amazing views.
We encourage all to do this excursion with Vida Aventura.
Had an amazing time! The horseback riding experience was the best we have ever had. The zip lining was great. And the lunch they served us was most delicious. Jason and Lester were just great. Hot springs were the perfect way to relax after all the activities. Overall great day, highly recomnend it😊👍

Would highly recommend this catamaran tour! The staff was friendly and professional. Drinks were flowing from the moment we go on the boat until the end of our tour. Music was also playing throughout the boat and you were able to play DJ if you asked! Once we made it to our destination we docked someone in the middle of ocean. You can the option to swim, relax and float with noodles or life vest (provided), snorkel or take a short swim to the beach. Would def recommend it was LIT!
The catamran was nice. A bit on the small side. The crew was great and very professional. Our snorkeling time was less then desirable due to heavy winds, wondered if they could have found better place.

We had a fabulous time on this tour. We were able to take a dip in the Blue River after an invigorating hike. Also saw 6 sloths including 3 babies. Johnny was very informative and was fun to spend a long day with. The driving in Costa Rica is a bit crazy so we were happy that Johnny got us where we needed to go. Book it! You won't regret it!!
4 in one sloth, waterfall, rainforest, volcano tour
, Jan 2020
We enjoyed a fantastic tour with Gabriel as our driver and guide. He took great care of us and any requests we had, such as stopping at souvenier places. We saw sloths, and 2 waterfalls with a beautiful walk through the rainforest. We only saw the volcanoes from a distance but lovely. I recommend this tour!

First, visit Tenorio National Park and complete a moderately challenging hike to the Blue River. You’ll then head to a private nature reserve at the base of the Tenorio Volcano where you can spot sloths, tree frogs, toucans, butterflies, and birds. The tour ends with a stop at Llanos de Cortés Waterfall.
Ronnie, our guide, Luis, the driver, and "eagle eyes" Solano, boat captain, were awesome! We saw several crocodiles, herons of all sorts, iguanas, 3 scarlet macaws, monkeys and more. They also took us to a family run place for lunch. Along with lunch we had a native 4th generation artist show us how he makes pottery. Very fun and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.
Discover the incredible birds and biodiversity of Palo Verde National Park on this boat tour with lunch, departing from Tamarindo. Spot native wildlife such as crocodiles, iguanas, monkeys, and a colorful parade of bird species during a 2-hour cruise down the Tempisque River led by a naturalist guide. From $64.00 (Price varies by group size )
Best tour on the whole trip!!!
, Feb 2020
We had such a great time on this tour! Rigo was so accommodating and friendly! The zip lining was also AMAZING! Everyone was so friendly and fun, and we felt extremely safe on all the equipment the whole time. This was our favorite excursion of our whole trip!!
Great experience. This country is beautiful and the people (Carlos and Rico) were amazing; Rico knows the land and Is a magician mechanic-fixed on the spot. I felt completely safe and would 100% do it again!
My only suggestion would be have beginner group vs experienced? I felt a little held back; I wanted to go faster and more off track!
Explore Tamarindo’s beaches and dry forest on an off-road ATV tour with river crossings, mountain views, and stunning tropical scenery. Learn to maneuver your vehicle, then follow your guide along a rugged circuit. Take in the sights and sounds of the Costa Rican forest and watch for birds and monkeys as you steer beneath coastal trees. Upgrade your tour to include other activities such as snorkeling, driving a UTV, ziplining, or even exploring other areas by ATV.
Good surfing lesson, though less than 2 hours for some reason
, Jan 2020
Overall, we had a lot of fun with our surfing lesson. The booking receipt did not provide any information as to where we needed to go, so I had to scramble the night before to figure that out. However, the surf shop was quick to respond to my messages, even late at night. The less was supposed to be 2 hours, but was ended about 30 minutes earlier for some reason. No explanation was provided for that. However, we were tired and ready to be done anyway, so did not argue.
Experience Tamarindo’s perfect breaks with a 2-hour surf lesson at a legendary beachside shop. Get in the water for the first time and practice paddling, popping up and riding in a forgiving beach break. More experienced surfers can hone their skills by surfing alongside an expert instructor, learning to read the breaking surf while improving technique and form. Riders of all skill levels can soak up the sun on the Pacific Coast and enjoy the security of an experienced surf school that places the emphasis on safety and fun.
This Blue Dolphin in Tamarindo, Costa Rica is not related to the operators in Hawaii, however, our trip was enjoyable. The problem with this tour and all of its competitors is that there is no docking station, and you must take a small boat out to the catamaran. The waves on shore can be wicked and on return, I fell, but was quickly picked up. Once loaded onto the catamaran, the fun begins with this captain and his crew member, Paul, I believe. You have a number of options once you arrive at your destination. Most chose to go snorkeling or kayaking. Very nice lunch after an hour of water activity with music and dancing throughout on board. For those who are serious drinkers, I can assure you, they will not run out. The trip back included marvelous sunsets and lots of picture taking. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience with the captain and his crew member wanting to make sure that each of us had an enjoyable time.
Part of what makes Costa Rica the world's premier destination for ecotourism is its extensive coastlines. Explore the waters off Guanacaste aboard the Blue Dolphin, a 40-foot catamaran that slices through the surf and offers a fully stocked bar, paddle boards and kayaks for your enjoyment. Breathe in the salt spray and keep a lookout for dolphins, turtles, whales, and spectacular coastal views.

Helped with our luggage. Gave us some great advice on Tamarindo. We would highly recommend his service if you're visiting Tamarindo and the surrounding areas. We are planning our trip for next year and will be using his services again.

Excellent service!! Highly recommended! Our driver was waiting for us with a sign with my name on it just outside the airport doors when we walked outside. The car had water, sodas and even beer plus wifi for our long ride to where we were staying. It was great!
Ariel and his driver were right on time. As soon as I stepped outside of the airport, he was already with my name on it. He provided excellent service and played the music that interested me.
