Monkey Park Tours

Monkey Park
If you like zoos, then there’s a good chance you’ll be delighted by the intimately sized and, in many cases, interactive, Monkey Park, which is located in the south of Tenerife. Considered a breeding and refuge center for endangered animals (particularly monkeys) the zoo gives visitors the chance to learn more about its mammals, ranging from monkeys and apes, of course, to iguanas, crocodiles, big cats, and exotic birds.

But it’s the up-close contact that most will especially enjoy, particularly the little ones. That’s because the park offers various opportunities to feed and interact with some of the resident animals, which include lemurs, guinea pigs and certain monkeys. To participate, you’ll need to buy a bag (or several) of animal food upon entry, and ideally arrive on the earlier side so that the friendly creatures are in fact hungry.

Practical Info

The park does not permit you to feed the animals food other than that which has been purchased at the park specifically for this purpose. Also, there are no human-food facilities on site, so be sure to plan accordingly.
