This was perfect for a couple of days in Istanbul. You don't have to rush, because there's several different times you can go see the different sights, which is especially helpful if you fly in late or have an early departure. Really enjoyed the knowledgeable guides and being able to skip the long lines. I was traveling with my dad and this is perfect, because I didn't want him doing too much walking so it was great that we could split up the sights over two days.

Very personable guide

We had a bit of a mixup with finding eachother at the main entrance of Agia Sofia, which is quite chaotic, big, and full of people. I would suggest the tour organizers be more specific about meeting point. Other than that, it was a lovely tour and our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and definitely worth having a guide to truly understand signficance of Agia Sofia.

Would recommend this . Went during off peak season and there wasn’t a big queue for tickets but still had bought vip entrance to skip the line as we were with a young baby . Good English guide , friendly with good sense of humour . Brief explanation for about 30-40 min and we were given time to look around after that .
My first time to Istanbul I wanted some help and support in going to this huge ancient site. I picked the VIP tickets. They were only a few dollars more than the standard tour. I found the extra information about the building really helpful to know and deepened my experience.

Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia Private Tour - Our Wonderful Tour Guide Mr Ugur
, Oct 2019
We were a group of 8 adults. The Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia were a lifetime experience for each one of us. The entire complex and the individual monuments are maintained immaculately.
Our tour began with the Hippodrome outside the great Mosque. Our Tour Guide, Mr Ugur, recounted its history in a manner that brought the past vividly alive before our eyes.
We were treated to an introduction to the history and cultural significance of the Blue Mosque before we entered. We were overwhelmed by its splendid aesthetics and majesty and the calm inside despite the steady stream of visitors.
In Hagiya Sophia, we were taken through the layered history of the edifice as well as the civil engineering challenges that its designers had to deal with.
It is impossible to see enough of the Blue Mosque and Hagiya Sophia in less than a couple of visits.

Our guide Emra was informative and speaks great English, we enjoyed ourselves and learnt a lot. Getting into the Hagia Sophia via skip the line queue was important as there were so many tourists, and this helped us be efficient with our time there.
My guide, Ismail, was wonderful and so full of knowledge of the Hagia Sophia and the rich history of Istanbul. His English is impeccable and he was very understanding, thoughtful and flexible with me being a couple minutes late due to the rainy weather. I loved the thought-provoking questions he included the tour on and learned so much about Istanbul and its vast history. I liked his style in explaining the culture with incorporating the Hagia Sophia. I was actually sad the tour ended as I wanted to learn more from him.
The absolute monument to visit in Istanbul. It’s always crowded so prefer a weekday. The tour was interesting and objective however I would like to have some more information of the place like the column of Justine, the upper floor or legends about the monument. It’s a very good tour if you want more synoptic info and have time to explore the place yourself.

Our tour guide arrived early and was lovely. We were a group of 14 with 3 young children, the only reason I haven't rated 5 is our pickup was a 14 seater on the way to Istanful theme park we were asked to put 2 of the young children in our laps as out of nowhere they had to pick up 2 other guests for the trip from another hotel , making the journey uncomfortable.
Other then that we had a lovely day, theme park wasn't busy, no ques to rides, kids enjoyed it. We were picked up on time and dropped of to out hotel (with the same issue as mentioned earlier).
