What a great tour. Apo was knowledgeable, personable and a great host. The tour was paced just right to take in a lot but also enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes. We would highly recommend both this tour and Apo!
That was an amazing tour. From touristic bits to 100% local. Experiencing the areas where only locals know how to reach out and seeing the incredible life around some of the most charming areas in the city.
Won't spoil anything, but it was so worth that if you miss it, you'll regret it (specially when you hear from others about those places and "how could you miss it?!"). Our guide was a major part of that as well. She was super open minded and gave the true input about Istanbul from a turkish person perspective.
But have to be honest here and say that it's a tough tour. There people out there, ready to walk for hours (like me), up and down the local hills, under a very hot weather (probably). If you're not into getting to know the city by foot, that might not be your kind. If you're a walker, you HAVE TO take that tour!
Discover Istanbul on a full-day tour that travels on foot and public transit to historic landmarks and local cultural hubs. Start by touring the Hippodrome, Serefiye Cistern and Grand Bazaar, then take a break for Turkish coffee, pastry and hookah (tobacco pipe). Visit the book and paper market Sahaflar Çarşısı, which started in the Byzantine era, then tour Istanbul University. Continue to Suleymaniye Mosque, the Spice Bazaar and the Church of St George before winding through the districts of Fener and Balat — the old Greek and Jewish neighborhoods.

Ayesha ma'am (our tour guide) is totally awesome!
She gave us excellent knowledge about the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc.
More importantly she paced the tour very well and made sure we went through the entire walk without tiring ourselves. She even helped out by recommending the other places to visit on Istanbul as per our tastes and interests.
This is a must go tour as per me.
It gives you a good idea about the history of Istanbul through the important buildings covered in the tour.
Aişa was an awesome guide. I met with her and our group in the morning, then we started the tour at the blue mosque of Istanbul, Sultan's Palace, and Hogia Sophia. The Grand Bazaar was closed due to Eid celebration, so we ended the tour with and finally ended with a tour of basilica cistern. Highly recommend
Tick through Istanbul’s highlights without transport hassles or getting lost, and with a guide to reveal their history on this small-group full-day tour. Admire and hear tales of the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, and Hippodrome that you’d probably miss alone, and clearly hear the guide’s commentary with numbers limited to just 10. Plus, enjoy an included authentic Turkish lunch—an extra you might skip if exploring independently.
My family had a wonderful tour of the important sites in the Old City with Cenar. Cenar was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited and had excellent command of the English language. Cenar was very patient with our four children and directed us to an excellent rug and Turkish delight store. We were quite happy with both stores and purchased products willingly, without any undue sales pressure from the store owners. Highly recommended. I wish we had booked a 2 or 3 days tour, but our time in Istanbul was limited.

This small-group tour is limited to 15 for a personalized experience and includes hotel pickup.
It’s really not the tour company’s fault but it’s 3hrs each way, so really you are spending 6hrs inside the van with about 2.5hrs of visiting time.
Tour guide was great, very friendly, keeping up with timing, and informative.
The only downside to this trip was the bus We were last pickup and seats left had no leg room. Other than this this was an excellent trip. Good guide and driver. The site itself is truly stunning, a must visit place
Long day but worth it. Great lunch too.
The striking white terraces of Pamukkale are a hotspot for tourists visiting Turkey. Instead of taking a crowded tour bus and looking at the terraces from afar, enjoy a swim in the hot pools on this low-intensity small-group tour. After the thermal springs, head to the ancient city of Hierapolis and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site’s historic Greek ruins.
Sample some of Istanbul’s favorite foods on a relaxed evening walking tour. Numbers are limited to 14, ensuring personalized attention from a guide.
Cappadocia is really amazing and this tour will probably leave you with the reason for it. Our tour guide, selim was knowledgeable and friendly making the whole journey comforting. Left with a slight disappointment that we did not visit the Pigeon valley, maybe perhaps there aren’t any pigeons during winter.
This trip was so amazing, the underground city, trek near the river, the canyon, the stone company and the Turkish delight company and also other small stops we had. The guide (Saleem) explained to us things in detail.
This was an exceptional tour organised by Stone Land travel. Would highly recommend this one day tour. There are similar tours offered by every other travel agency in Cappadocia, but since the tourism is unionised here, the prices vary very little between agencies.
After being picked up from our hotel in a minivan, we were transferred to a bus which would take us on the tour.
Our guide Mr.Salim was very energetic, friendly and gave the right amount of information at the various stops. The included lunch was a set menu and very basic in quality and quantity, but what else can you expect on group tours.
the highlight of the tour was the 3.5km hike along the majestic river in Ilhara Canyon. The natural landscapes was simply breathtaking.
The gemstone stop was a bit unnecessary but worth a glance. We were dropped back to the bus station after the tour from where we walked to our hotel. Some guests were offered a drop back to their respcetive hotels on request.
Pro tip: Do not carry a heavy bag as this tour involves plenty of walking, crouching, climbing. Leave heavy bags in the tour bus if need be.
See more of Cappadocia on a full-day tour that visits both historical and natural attractions. Check out the views from Göreme Panorama and Yaprakhisar Panorama, enter the subterranean chambers of Derinkuyu Underground City, and see ancient rock-cut churches at Selime Monastery. Also, take a leisurely 1-hour walk through the scenic Ihlara Valley, and check out Pigeon Valley. Includes lunch, entrance fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off.

Bosphorus Full-Day Sightseeing Tour: Golden Horn and Bosphorus Cruise, Spice Bazaar, Camlica Hill and Dolmabahce Palace
The Best Tour Guide Ever!
, Jan 2020
Our small group of 2 people was led by a truly professional tour guide. His sense of humor was phenomenal. As a fellow tour guide and owner of a small tour company, I value his sense of humor among the tour guides the most. He delivered 200%. Professional, carrying, funny and just a simply super nice human being, created memories of a lifetime for us. Istanbul was on my radar for a very long time and now my heart is full of gratefulness and happiness!
1) The Bosphorous Sight Seeing is by a normal boat loaded with passengers - so even though the title of the tour sounds great you have to jostle with others for a view. The top deck is a mess. The lower cabin was better. Suggest to go straight to lower deck and carry out the guide's discourse there rather than go to to the overcrowded top deck. This is a suggestion
2) Visit to St. Stephen's church was interesting
3) Lunch was good
4) Camlica Hill is a waste of time
The guide Dianna was good and was the redeeming feature of this tour

Istanbul Culinary Tour: Local Tavern and Gourmet Street Foods
Excellent introduction to Turkish cuisine
, Nov 2019
We had an excellent evening with our guide, Erol. We visited a number of restaurants, bars and shops in Beyoglu, and the tour included a lot of historical information. The food we tasted was excellent, and ranged from mezze platters to confectionery. The tour felt very well thought out, our guide was a local expert, and we felt we gained a great insight into the food culture of Istanbul.
My tour guide was excellent, attentive and had a lot of knowledge on Turkish food and history. Me and my partner happened to be the only 2 on this tour and our tour guide still spent a full 4 hours (and bit more). I tasted food I would have never tried and enjoyed immensely. Would recommend this tour to anyone!

Delicious food and great way to experience the city.

We did this tour as a family, with Nesli who was wonderful - funny, considerate and bubbling with information to share about the culture, customs, history and of course, food. Each one of the tastings she had curated was unique and stuff that we would have never come across by ourselves. Travelling by ferry, the tram and the tunel to Istiklal Street, crossing over Galata bridge at sunset, were all great experiences. There is a fair bit of walking involved; my mom had some unexpected issues but Nesli improvised beautifully and went out of her way to help us and still give us a great time. I loved walking through the bylanes of Istiklal street, discovering where locals hang out for coffee and food, again something we may not have done by ourselves. The tour ended in the Spice Market, where again Nesli guided us on how to pick genuine products, delicacies etc. We came away with a deeper appreciation of Turkish culture and having made a new friend.
Itach our guide was excellent but communication between Viator and Karavan Travels was not good
, Oct 2019
Viator contracts with Karavan Travels which in turn contracts it out to multiple subcontractors.
The communication between Viator, Karavan Travels and the agency which actually takes you on the tour is very poor. Karavan never communicated where the meeting place was and when Viator informs you of the meeting place, the actual person who takes you around is never told where to pick you up.

Best of all, you’ll get to sample plenty of local specialties along the way, from pide (Turkish pizza) to simit (bagel-like bread), to the best baklava in Istanbul.

I can not recommend this tour enough! It was the best tour we had in Istanbul not only did Furkan feed us some wonderful food but he took us to some of the coolest local areas in Istanbul that we would have never found on our own. Furkan was an amazing tour guide not only knowledgeable but he genuinely came across as truly enjoying his job and wanted us to get the most out of Istanbul and not just upsell us. If anyone is hesitant, don't be this tour is extremely worth it....I only wish we had used Furkan for our other tours of Istanbul!

We thoroughly enjoyed our foodie tour with Aysegul and can only recommend to take it. From start to finish, we loved the choice of local spots with excellent dishes along the way. Thank you Aysegul, for a fabulous experience!
Experienced a variety of foods in different Istanbul neighborhoods getting a great "taste" of Turkish culture. Making it an even better experience was Aysegul, a professional pastry chef, who could not only connect what we were eating with other types of cuisine she had experienced in her travels but also provide a warm, human look at Istanbul and its people. All in all, a really lovely three hours.
Emre our tour guide was amazing and spoke great English. He took us to over 5 different establishments to taste delicious Turkish cuisine. The food was great and so was the hospitality. I would definitely recommend this tour.
