During this tour, you will discover the main islands of the lagoon having a lot of time at your disposal: Murano, with its centuries-old art of glass making, Burano with its colorful houses and Torcello, with its historical artifacts. There are two starting points: near the train station or from Riva degli Schiavoni near St Mark’s Square. Once onboard the boat, you will begin sailing heading to Murano, where you will stop for one hour and a half. Here you will visit one of the island’s glassworks and you can attend a demonstration of a master glassmaker (lasting about 15 minutes). The second stop is Burano with its colorful houses. The last stop is Torcello, where the Venetian civilization was born: the first settlements date back to the 7th century when local folks sought refuge on the island to escape the Barbarians’ invasions. At the end of the excursion, the disembarkation will be in Riva Degli Schiavoni, close to the Naval Museum in St Mark's area.
