Dolomite Mountains and Cortina Semi Private Day Trip from Venice
excellent experience - the Dolomites
, Feb 2020
The landscape is breathtaking! The weather was great so we left Venice and got to the mountains in no time. The driver was nice and took us to all the places where we could take great photos. It was a small tour - we had a group of 6 and it was perfect, we got along really well. I really recommend this tour!
This is a must do day trip. This is a small tour so our group of 7 was perfect, just us and our driver/tour guide. Our experienced guide Giovanni’s knowledge of the area was extensive and his love for the countryside plainly obvious when he spoke of the alps. We were blessed with snow on the day of our trip which only added to the magic and excitement. Hailing from sunny North Queensland in Australia some of us had only seen snow once in our 50+ life and for my youngest sister it was her first time. The picturesque Lago Di Braies was breathtakingly beautiful and as the snow fell we reverted to our childhood throwing snowballs, making snow angels and truly enjoying the moment. This magical day will forever be firmly etched in our memories. If you are thinking of taking this tour DO IT it’s worth the money and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. We fondly refer to it as ‘Best Day Ever’
Get out of Venice for the day to visit the UNESCO-listed Dolomite Mountains. Led by a driver/tour escort, visit the chic mountain town of Cortina d'Ampezzo and enjoy free time to explore. Then see the stunning Lake Misurina as well as the Tre Cime di Lavaredo peaks, learning some history as you go. This small-group tour is reserved for up eight people to keep the experience as intimate as possible.
Please note: From November 15th until the Tre Cime di Lavaredo re-opens this tour will visit Braies Lake and San Candido and substitute with Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Misurina. From November 23rd to January 6th you'll also visit the San Candido Christmas Market.
We really enjoyed this experience.
Murano was our first stop where we watched a glass blowing demonstration (how that man made that horse is beyond me!). We only had a further 15 mins to explore, but that was enough really.
Torcello was our next stop where we chose to climb the tower for views of the lagoon - really fab; would recommend it. No time to do the Church too which was a shame. I guess you have to choose one over the other.
We arrived at Burano just as the sun was setting - it was so pretty wandering around at this time of day.
We felt that this trip was very good value for money and would thoroughly recommend it.
I would also suggest getting to the ticket office early so that you can get a good place in the queue to facilitate getting good seats on the boat.
Visit Torcello, Murano, and Burano—three islands in the Venetian Lagoon—on this tour from Venice by motorboat. With a guide, watch glass being blown at a Murano glass factory, see historical cathedrals on Torcello, and admire exquisite handmade lace on Burano. This is a great way to see more than just the central sights of Venice and enjoy a cruise on the water. Select a departure time when booking.

Murano & Burano Islands Half Day Guided Tour
, Feb 2020
Wonderful tour! Our tour guide Chiara was knowledgable, funny and enthusiastic. The glass blowing demonstration in Murano was interesting and enlightening while the colorful houses along the canals of Burano were absolutely beautiful. Excellent experience, highly recommended.
Our Guide, (Antonella) was a kind & passionate person, with great knowledge of the area. The boat was 5 star for me, loved it.
The glass blowing was so awesome! Must see.
Winter meant we had a smaller group which was great. We had fabulous weather & plenty of time for lunch, exploring and shopping.
This was a very good tour of both islands. The guide, Francesca B, provided a lot of very interesting information and the locations visited were beautiful. Good value considering the cost of vaporetto tickets to try to do it on your own, plus lots of information, questions answered, and you are shown where to go so you know what you are doing. Quite a bit of free time to explore both islands.
Explore the intricacies of two famed Italian handicrafts with a day trip from Venice to the nearby islands of Murano and Burano. Watch centuries-old glassblowing techniques in Murano, and marvel at the detailed stitches of exquisite Burano lace. Your knowledgeable guide will share the history of these two artisan islands while you visit local workshops and wander the picturesque streets.
After heading to the tour desk at the airport we were given a map and a guide where to get off for our hotel. The transfer was great fun and allowed for some pictures of the other islands as you passed them. The boat can be a little choppy especially when passing other boats' wake. It took around 40mins from the airport to San Marco with one drop off in between. I would definitely use again.
The boat can sit 8 people at a squeeze, but there were 6 in our transfer and this was comfortable.
Bought this right before we left on our trip and it was the perfect way to start our vacation. We bought the sharing transfer because it was cheaper but we ended up having it all to ourselves since it was slow season and it was beautiful ride to Venice.
Book a shared Venice Link arrival transfer from Marco Polo Airport to your Venice hotel, and enjoy a stress-free start to your trip. It’s a simple, cost-effective boat transfer that’s available through the week.
St Mark's Basilica After-Hours Tour with Optional Doge's Palace Visit
Worth every penny
, Dec 2019
We went last night to the after hours tour. Our guide ‘Moses’ was just fabulous. He managed to convey everything with just the right touch of information and explanation. We got to see the stunningly beautiful interior lit as no ione on a day tour can see. Also seeing the pala d’oro was stunning. Without hoards of people it meant we got to see everything in confort. Highly rate every aspect of this tour.
From the Viator description it says you visit the basilica and then the Doge’s Palace. This is not the case. First you go through the Doge’s Palace and then the Basilica after it closes to the public but the basilica remains open for mass and the tour doesn’t start until the clergy and parishioners are gone at about 7:45. Our main interest was the basilica and then we planned to visit as much of the Doge’s as possible. My husband had to leave before seeing the basilica which was a shame in that it is impressive. After visiting some of Italy’s main attractions you’ll appreciate seeing one without hordes of visitors. Our guide was fine and how the basilica is illuminated is impressive. Just sorry my husband missed the basilica.
See the wonders of Venice's St. Mark's Basilica without the crowds during this after-hours, small-group tour. Learn about the basilica's famed mosaics from your guide and explore the crypt below the church to see where St. Mark's remains are said to lie. Upgrade to see the Doge's Palace after the basilica and wander the former home of the Venetian Republic's government.
We had a lovely half hour meandering through backwater canals and on to the Grand Canal.
The gondolier was charming and the starting point was only a short distance from the meeting point (we were escorted). The gondala was shared with another couple - no problem for us (as we bagged the good seat) but not as nice for the other couple.
Only one flaw, but nothing to do with the tour itself
, Jan 2020
This is done in a group, so if like me you were by yourself, the total enjoyment of the trip is affected by who else gets in the gondola with you. However, this is nothing to do with the tour itself, which proved to be cheaper for me than a single gondola ridwe
Explore Venice's famous canals on a guided gondola ride through the city. Meander beneath bridges and along quiet, peaceful stretches in a traditional Venetian boat, taking in sights such as the Rialto Bridge and Campo Manin as you go. Join up to five others—along with your expert gondolier—in enjoying one of Venice's most leisurely and original pastimes, and don't miss this chance to experience the Grand Canal from the water.
Venice is famous for its UNESCO-listed lagoon, but the city’s islands are also renowned for their handicrafts. This half-day cruise by private boat stops at Murano Island, to watch a thrilling glass-blowing demonstration, and Burano Island, to visit a lace-making factory.
A fabulous tour and our guide Mosa was very informative with a wonderful sense of humour he was so passionate about everything it made it come to life we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and learnt so much about Venice
Many thanks Sandy Henderson
This tour was excellent! The major sites and gondola ride were everything that we expected, but we also walked through the lesser know parts of the city and found some hidden gems that we did not expect. Our tour guide Iola was incredible. She told us so many stories and gave us so much history, that we felt like true Venetians by the end of the tour. I wish we had more time to spend in Venice, but this tour gave us everything we could have hoped for in one day.
First time in Venice? Maximize your time in the city with a full-day itinerary that ticks off all the most memorable attractions. Stroll across the Rialto Bridge and browse the lively Rialto fish market, then hop aboard a traditional gondola for a romantic cruise along the Grand Canal. Next, access St. Mark’s Basilica and gaze down over the city from the cathedral’s rooftop terrace. Finally, enjoy skip-the-line entrance to the grandiose Doge’s Palace. This small-group tour is limited to 15 people ensuring a personalized experience.
Discover three of the most beautiful islands in the Venetian Lagoon on a private, half-day tour aboard a typical Venetian motorboat. See where the world’s finest blown glass is made in Murano, visit the home of artisan lace makers and famous biscuits in Burano and set foot on Venice’s oldest settlements in serene Torcello. Enjoy a customizable itinerary and the personalized attention of a private boat captain.
We had other expectasions, ''the gondola rider'' really not proffesionals en rude, it was like they ware making the people a favor, we where 5 gondola's en 2 people that whare singing- one voice en one whit chitaar- I would not reapet it again.
My family (wife and 2 year old) had a blast! We were lucky to be in the same boat as the singer and the musician so that was great for us. Although I felt bad for the other boats who didn't have the signers in their boat.
Experience Venice in the most Venetian way possible: via a shared gondola ride while being serenaded. Choose between an afternoon or evening ride and then hop on the six-person gondola by a gondolier who is clad in traditional garb. Then begin the ride, as part of a group of eight different gondolas, with a singer aboard one of the boats. In addition to the song being sun to you, enjoy the sites of Venice's main landmarks, including the grand Canal and Palazzo Barberino.
Best of Venice Tour with St Mark’s Basilica and Grand Canal Boat tour
Venice boat tour and Bascilica tour
, Feb 2020
Francesco was our tour guide. Being a Venetian native, he was able to share information that he knew first hand. The Bascilica was amazing and the boat tour a blast. I highly recommend both and ask for Francesco... you won’t be disappointed!
See the best of Venice in a day on a tour that combines a guided walk with a cruise along the bustling Grand Canal. Discover the tucked-away treasures of Venice’s backstreets and charming canals, and then finish on a high note: a water taxi cruise on the Grand Canal.
Eat Like a Local: 3-hour Venice Small-Group Food Tasting Walking Tour
Delicious Food, Quality Wine and Very Nice People
, Feb 2020
Wonderful tour! This was an excellent experience; we had seven stops along the way with amazing food and wine throughout. Our tour guide Anna was excellent and went out of her way to make sure everyone in the group was happy. All the food was incredible and there was plenty of it so be sure to come hungry.
Anna was a wonderful guide who took us to some wonderful establishments. We were in a group of only five and tried a variety of beautiful cicchetti and drinks. We were able to make our own choices of what we would like to try to eat at some of the bars. My tip would be not to eat a big lunch if you are going in the evening like we did as you get surprisingly full!
We went on a Saturday so most places were extremely busy, Anna was still able to get us in and clearly had good relationships with the people that work there. Completely worth the money, I would certainly do it again!
This is a great trip and we would thoroughly recommend - our guide, Anna, was wonderful and made the experience very memorable. We were expecting a little more general information about Venice and its history (as this is what we’ve come to expect having done similar food-themed tours in other cities) - our misunderstanding given the tour description. Good mix of samples - you won’t end the tour hungry! - and interesting insight into Venetian food culture. Enjoy!
There’s much more to Italian food than pizza and pasta, and this Venice tasting tour offers a delicious introduction to Venetian cuisine. Get an insider’s perspective on where to drink and dine in the city, and sample an array of local specialties including fresh seafood, homemade gelato, traditional Venetian cookies, and regional wines.
Highly Recommended for First Timers and Experienced Visiters
, Jan 2020
Had a fantastic time on our tour. The guide was very knowledgable and was able to answer any questions I had (which was impressive given my prior knowledge on a lot of the subject matter). The perks of being able to cut the lines and being lead into areas that the general public aren't allowed access to cannot be overstated - it's a game changer. The group size wasn't too big, so it didn't feel like we were too encumbered and could make our way easily. Would certainly recommend anyone with an interest in visiting these two buildings to take this tour. Also, the Glass Factory demonstration at the end was a nice surprise and a great place to find a nice souvenir. My girlfriend loved that.
Visit two of the most popular attractions in Venice on this guided tour of the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica. Listen to your guide's commentary clearly with provided headsets and avoid hours-long queues with skip-the-line admission tickets. Entrance tickets to the Doge's Palace are also included for a hassle-free tour.
Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We had a small group of 5. Each place we visited was stunning. The first winery was a tasting of 5 different proseccos. It was picture perfect. Then we went to the top of a hill to see views on the area. Lunch at the osteria was delicious. There was so much food and more wine and prosecco! The final winery was great too. Carlo was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the area as he lived there. He was very nice and patient with all of us. So many wonderful memories. I would do it all over again!
Carlo was a very entertaining and generous guide. The highlight of the tour was eating an incredible lunch at his family's restaurant. I have never experienced such a large variety of authentically prepared food. We also met Carlo's family (we were a small group of seven, and probably the only 'outsiders' in this quaint family restaurant). Tour included tasting different varieties of Prosecco wine while visiting wineries & vineyards that were nestled between the 'hills' and Dolemite mountains. Truly a memorable experience!
Carlos led us through a wonderful day!! He shared the amazing views, wonderful Prosecco and fabulous food of the region with us. He was information and knowledgeable about the region and the wine. The day was exactly as described. We would definately do another tour!
Travel by private vehicle from Venice into the scenic Prosecco Hills for a special day of wine tasting. You’ll learn all about Prosecco wine making and sample high-quality sparkling wine at two establishments. In between, visit your guide’s family-run osteria for a typical 4-course lunch with recipes passed down from “Nonna” and delicious homemade desserts. This full-day tour holds a limit of eight passengers to ensure an intimate experience.

You’ll also head to the front of the long queue at St Mark’s Basilica to tour the dazzling interior of this Byzantine masterpiece and enjoy a guided walking tour of Venice’s hidden gems. Finally, cruise down the Grand Canal aboard a motorboat and soak in the majestic passing scenery.
The walking tour does not cover the most popular attractions like St Mark's Square but does offer an alternative viewpoint regarding the history of Venice and takes your around an area that I would not have necessarily went to but it was informative and intresting. The Gondola ride was an experience and well worth doing. I thought this was well worth the money paid.

The water transfer from Marco Polo airport to the Vince cruise port was excellent! We were greeted promptly at baggage claim and escorted to the private water taxi. Support staff and boat captain were very helpful with our walking impaired person. Water ride was comfortable and a great way to start our Italy cruise. I definitely recommend this service.
The company representative turned up in the arrivals area a few minutes after I arrived, leaving me concerned I wasn't being met. He was polite, a good conversationalist and apologetic so that was fine. We waited way too long for a taxi at the pier though, despite him calling ahead. Several taxis arrived at the pier, dropped guests off at Venice and returned while I waited for my specific reservation to show up. Considering I arrived after 11.30 pm, not the best start to the holiday.

Initially we were wary of taking booking this opera as we are not opera lovers at all. But our friends insisted and we went. We ended up thoroughly enjoying it. It was such a lovely experience. It was up close and personal and we moved from room to room making it a much more enjoyable experience than a typical opera in a big theater. I would definitely recommend this. It just gave us such a good feeling and made our experience in Venice so much better.

The singers and musicians of the Musica a Palazzo ensemble perform classics of Italian opera within the ornate salons of Palazzo Barbarigo Minotto. Venice in a Day Tour with St Mark's, Doge's Palace and Gondolas
Excellent small group tour guide
, Jan 2020
Hello, I have taken a few tours with different companies. I have given the tour of Venice, Italy by Guida T. a five star rating. She was friendly, spoke clear English, interacted with each person in our party in a friendly playful way, I was a part of a six-person group. Guida was more then willing to answer any questions, she was very knowable about the history of Venice with the Doge who ruled along with surrounding countries as they related to Venice, she provided pictures as she talked so we could envision what it looked like back in the history. We went to the main church, museums, walk around the city to other important location like the opera house. It was a four-hour tour with a break for lunch. I would recommend Guida T. as an excellent tour guide.
This tour a great way to see several of the key sites around Venice.
We had two different guides during the day (Natalia and Chiara), both were knowledgeable and professional. My wife and I really liked to the high level of detail given by both guides that were happy to answer any questions.
Our time spent at St Marks Basilica and the Doge's Palace were enhanced by having a guide.
I would very much recommend to anyone for their first day in Venice on holiday.
The guide was very knowledgeable and even had our children get involved. Our guide rearranged our tour to accommodate the high water and everything worked perfectly. We were able to see all of the attractions thanks to her.
Discover several Venetian attractions in one itinerary with this full-day tour. Visit St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, and the Rialto Bridge with an art historian guide leading the way. Stroll along Venice’s romantic canals and climb aboard a gondola for a scenic boat ride. After free time for lunch, skip the line for instant access into Doge’s Palace to see Casanova’s prison cell and walk across the Bridge of Sighs.
Eat, drink and repeat: Wine tasting tour in Venice
What a Blast!
, Jan 2020
This was without a doubt the highlight of our whole trip to Venice. Anna was easygoing, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the Venetian pub experience. Every place we stopped was unique, and every drink was paired with something delicious and unexpected. We were completely full (and merry) by the end. My husband and I won't hesitate to do this tour again next time we're in Venice.
I'm a solo traveller so wasn't sure what to expect from the tour. There were others on their own, couples and families - a real mix, from Australia, the UK, Italy, the USA and others. All like-minded people with a thirst for discovering the real Venice.
We were not disappointed! The tour was diverse, with lots of stops at different apertivo and ciccheti joints, hidden away from the usual crowded squares.
The tour guide Anna was brilliant. It didn't feel like organised fun, but rather an old friend showing you around their city and getting to meet a whole bunch of new friends at the same time! The food was enough for an evening meal, extremely tasty and authentic, not just nibbles. Very educational, interesting and fun!
I don't eat seafood and it was no hassle, there were lots of alternatives and I feel lucky to have tried some different things.
There are other choices for those who don't drink alcohol and everyone was catered for, but that did mean spare wine for me! Hurrah!
Thank you. Highly recommended.
This was a good way to get out and go to great little bars with unique ‘small bites’ provided. The value was incredible and I totally recommend. Meeting people from different parts of the world was great fun and everybody was willing to chat and laugh. 8 people in total.
Venice is more than an open-air museum, it’s also a world-renowned gastronomy hub. Discover the full-flavored wines of Veneto during this insider’s wine crawl, which features six different labels in six different bars or restaurants. Enjoy tasty food pairings along the way from fresh regional ingredients, as you learn how to eat—and more importantly, drink—like a true Venetian local.
A fabulous evening, in a stunningly beautiful small music hall. Talented musicians playing wonderful music, in full glorious 15th century period custom. Full show approx hour and half. Booking through Viator easy and seem less.
We bought these tickets on a whim and didn't regret it! It was an easy and direct 20 minute walk from the water taxi to the theatre. It would have been faster, but we had two 80 year olds with us! The building is a perfect setting for the incredible music of Vivaldi. It was played to perfection bu the talented musicians dressed in period costume. The atmosphere was amazing. I highly recommend this performance if you are in Venice.
Hear Antonio Vivaldi’s magnificent ‘Four Seasons’ performed by Venice’s acclaimed I Musici Veneziani. The 1.5-hour show will whisk you back to 18th-century Venice, with performers dressed in traditional Venetian costumes and a spectacular setting in the exclusive Salone Capitolare at the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro.
