Built to rival the opulence of Versailles, Vienna’s Schönbrunn Palace (Schloss Schönbrunn) was once a summer residence of the Habsburg monarchs. Today, this baroque palace is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historic monuments in Austria.
I highly recommend this very informative tour of the beautiful palace and grounds.
Having easy access to the palace, as well as our guide, Max, made the tour memorable. He was knowledgeable and personable, and made the tour very informative as we made our way through the beautiful rooms. He provided all the background and history that brought this time in history to life. I must also comment that for such a large operation the facilities were very clean and accessible.
The palace was very crowded when we were there, but our guide made sure that our group had a good view during the tour. She was knowledgeable and provided many historical facts.
It was a nice experience. My fault i didn't realize the Orangery is not the main palace but a little small performance hall seats a few hundred. It was again nice and cozy but I had talked myself into a full theater experience
Very well organized. The performance was wonderful, very talented musicians. The lighting for the show was a great addition to the performance. Conductor had a audience participation at the end of the show that was a delight. It was a lovely way to close out a year! Thank you on behalf of my family.
I highly recommend,

We had an amazing tour guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the palace. Her enthusiasm and humor made the tour fantastic.
What a beautiful experience, with our guide Petra, at the Schonbrunn Palace. Despite the crowds and cold, our guide had total control of the tour. Not only was she a wealth of knowledge but she made each transition between rooms and the garden seamless. It was well worth doing this tour.
