Mauthausen Concentration Camp Day Trip from Vienna
From $168.43 (Price varies by group size )
, Feb 2020
The trip was good but over priced. Charged £100 for 15 month child then sent bill €100 for cleaning the seat he was sat in. Yes he was a bit sick but I spent 30 minutes cleaning and they didn’t tell me there would be a charge the emailed 8 days later with no receipt for cleaning attached. Only trip that has charged to take a baby.
The trip was well organised- we were pick up was timeous. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the history of the camp and the events surrounding it. The actual camp was unbelievable- they have tried to keep it as original as they could. It was a eye opener for us. Nothing prepares you for the reality. They even have the original gas chambers and incinerators. 😢
Thoughtful and reflective - a valuable day's journey
, Jan 2020
The day was overcast and very cold and showery - which matches the mood of this place. It seems strange to use positive words for such a sombre experience - such as enjoyable. And yet there is something to feel positive about - the triumph of the human spirit perhaps? Also the fact that this place has been well preserved to this present day as a grim reminder of what we humans can do to each other in the name of government and/or policy. What should always come first is our commitment to humanity and all that entails.
The audio guide is very good. There are some very good sculpted monuments throughout the grounds and many of the buildings are well maintained and intact. There is also a very good museum section towards the end of the tour.
The person who took us on the tour played us a dvd about the camp and the holocaust during the 2 hour bus drive to the monument. Other than that his role was simply to provide transport as, once you are at the site, you are alone with your audio guide.
Experience a poignant piece of World War II history with a day trip to Mauthausen Concentration Camp from Vienna. The former camp provides a look at the horrors perpetuated by Hitler during the war. An audio guide will provide historical background on each site as you go. Round-trip transport from Vienna is included in the tour.

Learned a lot
, Feb 2020
We had a wonderful time and our driver Rui is so nice and informative , the drive back and forth was relieving :. We were also lucky to be the only group in the tour ...although I feel bad for operator .. thank you do much and would definitely want to go back to Vienna and join the day tours
The tour guide was very accommodating and filled us with a lot of info during that 3hr ride going to Salzburg. I highly suggest going here to those interested with the works of Mozart and "The Sound of Music" :)

Skip the Line: Schonbrunn Palace Guided Tour in Vienna
Very nice tour
, Nov 2019
Franz was an informative guide, presenting the information with a side of fun and comedy. It made for a more enjoyable tour but still filled with the history of the family. At this time of year, the Christmas market in front is a nice extra! Enjoyable, even in the cold!
My husband normally HATES guided tours. Well, this tour was the exception, all due to our hilarious, knowledgeable and entertaining guide, Franz. Franz was able to weave fantastically interesting tidbits into his tour of the Schonbrunn palace that kept us engrossed. We left wanting more. You will learn so much about the Hapburg dynasty, and life in Vienna under Kaiser Franz Joseph & Sisi. Fabulous! A+, Franz! Thank you!
We had an excellent, knowledgeable guide lady who took time to answer any questions. We started our tour in the gardens and then entered the castle at precisely the correct time! The castle was stunning inside, but we only went through a few rooms on the first floor where Maria Theresa and family lived. I was too tired to make the trek up to the Gloriette, but they do offer small train rides. My daughter hiked back, about a half mile I think it is, and took some gorgeous pictures of the castle from there. It was your standard guided tour, but I can recommend it. Just be prepared to do a lot of walking.
The magnificent Schonbrunn Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Vienna’s most visited attraction, and pre-booking skip-the-line entrance ensures you don’t waste time waiting in line. Follow in the footsteps of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth on a guided tour through the palace and gardens, then enjoy free time to explore independently.
As avid horse fans and owners were in awe of the stables, arena, tack room, history and up close proximity to the beautiful horses themselves, that we were afforded. Our guide was knowledgeable, informative and passionate about the History and current day workings of the Spanish Riding School. We didn't think we'd have such access to the school grounds. It was a wonderful tour!
The Spanish Riding School in Vienna has a lot going for it with baroque architecture, the largest oval horse walker in the world, and, of course, its Lipizzaner stallions. You can see it all on a visit, but if you want to understand the history behind the landmark site, a tour is the best way to do it. With this experience, learn about the equestrian traditions and history of the Spanish Riding School as a guide introduces you to its standout sights.
Went to see the Vienna palace but it was closed, went to see the parliament building but it was completely covered in scaffolding but got some nice pictures of the opera house. The best part of the tour was the food recommendation that we got from our guide which was delicious.
This is a great exclusive oportunity to know Viena. If you can ask for Albiona. She is such a great guide and will make your day a special one. She gave me great tips for the days to come, so if you can make this your priority when getting to Vienna.

From $92.02 (Price varies by group size )
Great tour with knowledgable guide
, Jan 2020
Suzanne was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Viennese architecture. We learned a lot from her, and it has formed the core of my understanding of Vienna circa 1900, the Secession, and how those themes live on to this day.
We met at the Museum Cafe and walked to the Secession Building, where she talked about Otto Wagner and the city under construction. Lots of specifics, too many to mention. She tailored the tour to our needs as we were the only clients. We took the U4 train line to save on walking and warm up between discussions. We had a day pass so it worked well.

Beautiful snow covered Palace
, Jan 2020
This tour was fantastic. We received a lot of information from the guide on the way to the Palace as well as a wonderful guided tour inside the Palace. We were given a lot of free time to explore the garden which we absolutely loved seeing covered in a light layer of snow. Highly recommend this tour.
Excellent, well organised excursion. From the pick up on a first class coach, to the guides giving informative and interesting commentary right through to the tour of the palace the whole event was top class.

Small-Group Schönbrunn Palace Half-Day Tour with a Historian Guide
From $92.02 (Price varies by group size )
Excellent your full of great history
, Oct 2019
There's absolutely no way we could have gotten anywhere near as great of an experience without Katerina. She took us around for three hours and explained the rooms and histories to us, including some random cool things like the mustach holder applied during sleep. I really cannot recommend this tour enough.
Our tour guide also took some fantastic pictures for us, which was lovely
Our guide was excellent. There was some confusion however with who our guide was to be and confusion on our guide’s end with the information she received. Once we had it worked out though the guided tour was excellent .

This was the highlight of our trip. The woman guide in the city was outstanding. I wish I had taken her contact information so friends that plan to visit could request her. She grew up during the Russian control and had such interesting personal stories to tell.
The driver from Croatia was also very good. We did a day trip from Vienna.

, Nov 2019
We had a great time with our tour. Melk,Hallstatt and Salzburg are equally beautiful and amazing. Our driver Andrew kept us entertained while we were on the road for over 6 hours.excellent tour and awesome driver
Excellent driver, but not a tour guide.
He drove us to our destinations and was very personable, however when we read “private tour”, we had expected that it was going to be guided at each destination with information as we followed our guide- maybe just a mistake on our part for what we read on the site.
This tour is a great way to discover the jewels of Lower Austria in a day. Save hours researching and planning where to go by having a personalized itinerary organized for you. Cut the stress out of planning transport by having Vienna hotel pickup and drop-off included. Travel between dispersed sites in Melk, Hallstatt, and Salzburg. Highlights included 'The Sound of Music' filming locations, and Hallstatt’s subterranean salt lake.
Bus service was excellent and the guide was tops. She was very sweet and very informative. She answered each and every question we asked her. Bratislava is full of history and worth visiting, but just one hitch, 2 1/2 - 3 hours would have been more than enough to tour and visit Bratislava as such. Personally, I would have preferred to pay more and have a coach service to take us around Slovakia for the remaining hours. Others I met on the same bus were of the same opinion and I hope that they will air their views as well.
Milan met me on time and took me to some very interesting places. He is very knowledgeable and interesting. I was taken at my own pace, it was not rushed . He would ask me questions and I would ask him as well. At the end of the tour he took me to where lunch was served explained in English the choices from the menu, told me to only pay for my drink and left a map so I knew my way back. Well done Milan
