Lukas proved to be very knowledgeable both about food and drink (wine in particular); derived from his considerable experience as a chef. He has gone to great lengths to ensure visitors enjoy their experience in his company-thoroughly recommend his tour.
Make sure you come hungry to the culinary walking tour around Vienna. Over the course of 2.5 hours, you you’ll sample all of the best food to be found in the Austrian capital, including Viennese breads, chocolate pralines, and ham. Your private guide will show you the culinary secrets that you would otherwise miss. Novice gourmands will also enjoy a private wine tasting at the famous Kipferlhaus.
Our guide, Peter, was absolutely wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited as well as the reason the places where we ate were selected. The food choices were wonderful. This tour is well worth the price.
I highly recommend this tour. Verena was wonderful and we enjoyed some of the best food I had in Vienna. Our group was small and we had fun traveling through the city together. Verena provided excellent recommendations for off-the-beaten-path food, neighborhoods, and shopping in Vienna that greatly enhanced my overall experience of this remarkable city. Highly recommend.
Eat, drink, repeat on this guided walking tour that salutes Vienna’s famed culinary reputation. Walk from the city center to Neubau, stopping to sample coffee, chocolate, and fresh foods from eateries and markets, and learning about Vienna’s culinary history along the way.
We really enjoyed the cooking lesson and the hearty meal that followed, but it was much more than a cooking lesson. It was like spending the afternoon at the home of a friend, with good conversation, good music and many insights on life in Vienna.
There is no better way to experience the authentic side of a city than through its traditional cuisine. With this Viennese cooking class, you’ll discover the history and techniques behind some of the most beloved local dishes. Roll up your sleeves and join your host in preparing Austrian classics like pumpkin soup, wiener schnitzel, and apple strudel, then sit down to sample your handiwork over dinner.
I’m not big on giving reviews, but this tour was so good that I wanted to share. I booked this as the first thing I did after arriving, and it was the best decision I made. Patrick is very knowledgeable (he knows the city inside and out), and he was able to customize what we did on the fly based on my preferences. He took me to places to try food & drinks that I would not have found on my own (and I’m a good online researcher!), and I enjoyed the experiences so much that I’d highly recommend others to check them out as well. He gave me a great overview of the central part of the city and recommended things I could do throughout the rest of my stay based on my interests. He even followed up the next day with Information on the places / things we discussed and provided some additional suggestions as well. I really had an enjoyable and lovely evening, and it set a great tone for the rest of my trip. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to start their trip off on the right foot!!
What a great tour and an even greater tour guide as well! Wolfie, as I think was his name, walked through the market area of the city where there was everything imaginable to buy from meats, fish, spices, candy and cafe's. We stopped at a candy shop where we were treated to lots of chocolate and a delicious hot chocolate late', then took a subway to a outdoor shop for Goulash, took a tram ride to a small outdoor market where we ate salad and dumplings at a private room, had Delicious pastry at a family owned and operated restaurant and finished off the tour at a local tavern. Our guide even waled us back to where the subway was located to get back to our hotel. If you book this tour, you won't need to eat either before of afterward as there was plenty to eat and drink and was all included in the price of the tour. Don't leave Vienna without taking this tour.

Wachau Valley Small-Group Tour and Wine Tasting from Vienna
Great out of the City
, Oct 2019
While the weather wasn't the greatest but what one would expect this time of year, traveled an hour plus outside of Vienna to the valley where we were able to visit 2 wineries for tastings a large coop and a small boutique both of which were very nice. Lunch at your own cost was provided at a beautiful location highly recommend the smoked trout and meat platter! because of the time year we visited Melk Abby which quite frankly should be a can't miss on your trip to the area. Overall the tour was very nice we had plenty of free time throughout the tour whether to shop or sample more wine! the guide was engaging and provided a lot of interesting information about the wine industry in the valley. for day away from Vienna highly recommend this trip
This was one of my favorite tours of all time. Small group of 6 with a great guide. It gave us to get to know each other and bond over good wine and food. The guide was charming and knowledgeable. A must if you only have 1 day outside of Vienne.
Get a true taste of the Austrian countryside on this day trip to the Wachau Valley from Vienna. Your guide leads the way through charming villages and scenic landscape, making stops at UNESCO-listed sites such as the medieval town of Dürnstein. Relax with an authentic lunch at a local wine tavern (own expense) and taste the region’s best wines in a small, intimate cellar. Between May and September, your day trip will also include a Danube River cruise between the villages of Spitz and Melk.
We loved the wine tasting. The site is fantastic and our host Stylianos Stavridis was so charming and informative. We had some great wines and a very relaxing and informative session. We highly recommend it. My only regret is that we didn’t do this earlier in our visit so we could enjoy the wines more often.
Do you love having a chat while tasting wine with friends? Or discovering new wines while expanding your knowledge and palate? Maybe you just like meeting new people and trying new things?
Either way, this Wine Tasting experience is for you!
It balances knowledge, fun, and delicious wines and is for all levels of wine enthusiast.
After a brief overview of Austria’s illustrious wine history, main wine regions, climate, and grape varieties, we’ll begin our tasting. I’ll teach you how to evaluate wine in a way that will impress your friends.
The tasting consists of what I consider to be 6 of the most representative Austrian wines (3 whites and 3 reds) plus a cold plate with locally-sourced cheese, cured meats, and bread. And if you’re vegetarian, let me know. I’ll have something else tasty for you :)
So what are you waiting for? Reserve your place now for a perfect experience with happy, like-minded people and- of course- delicious wines!
Chocolate was good. Very disorganized with children participating without parents so they were sticking their hands into jars of toppings for the chocolate. Way too many people about 20 for one machine that dispensed the chocolate into the trays. A lot of standing around waiting. By the end couldn’t wait to leave. Could have been really good with less people and more organization.
Just when I thought I knew everything about Chocolate! The museum was fun and helpful, very informative. There are some updates and fixes that need to be made but we went during the late fall/Off-Season so perhaps they will fix later.
Our Chef Nemo was outstanding. He guided us every single step of the way from picking our toppings, explaining the different types and melting points of chocolate, assisting with our Hot Chocolate. So much fun!! I would definitely recommend for Families or Couples!
Chocolate fans—this one’s for you! Enjoy a day learning about, making, and tasting chocolate. You won’t have to worry about bringing anything with you as all ingredients and cooking utensils are provided. This experience takes you through the history of chocolate, and you even make chocolate with tools like the Aztecs. Create your own bars, and top off your experience with a visit to the Chocolate Museum.
The tour went to three wineries where our group of 5 met the winemaker and sampled 3-4 wines. Interacting directly with the winemaker was very insightful. The 3-4 wines we drank were also enjoyable. However, we drank the same varietals at the two other wineries, which limited our exposure to Austrian wines.
The tour was excellent and consisted of guided visits to three exceptional wineries in quaint towns just outside of Vienna. Michael was an excellent tour guide and provided with information about the wineries and Austrian wine making. We were so impressed with speaking to the actual wine makers that talk about their approach to making wine. Highly recommended tour!
Our guide Reka knew her way around Vienna as well as the surrounding wine country. She was charming, knowledgeable and fun. The three wineries we visited were family run. We were treated with kind hospitality, and sampled several wines made from grapes grown on premises. They were all crisp, well balanced and made with care. The evening ended with a delightful meal and tasting flight. Reka delivered us back to our hotels after a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this tour!
Leave the busy streets of Vienna behind and immerse yourself in the Weinviertel wine region on a 4-hour small-group tour. Relax in comfortable and convenient round-trip transportation from your hotel as you take in the countryside scenery. Meet the owners of three local wineries and enjoy a total of 10 to 12 glasses of regional wine. After a traditional Austrian dinner, unwind during the return journey to your accommodation.
Schlumberger Sparkling Wine Cellar World Entrance Ticket in Vienna
Great fun and wonderful sparkling wine.
, Feb 2020
We had a wonderful time, our guide was very entertaining and quite knowledgeable, I learned several things that I didn’t know about sparkling wine. The sparkling wine was very good, we bought 3 bottles plus the very reasonably priced glasses.
A self guided tour with a nice glass of Sparkling Wine
, Feb 2020
Once again I had to e-mail the .pdf file Viator sent and have the staff at Schlumberger print it out before the tour would commence.
No guest Wi-Fi had to use my precious mobile data to send the e-mail. Although the print out says English tours take place at 2pm on Wednesdays that does not happen instead you just show up and leave your driver's license or other form of identification and get an iPod with a pre-loaded audio tour available in multiple languages. Follow the audio tour through the facility which is very informative. Then you return to the start and exchange the iPod to get your identification back. Then comes the best part - getting to enjoy a nice glass of Sparkling Wine which is totally worth it. It was so good I even bought a few bottles to enjoy later.

The orchestra were as expected excellent and the concert was very enjoyable with some singing and dancing included. Given the quality of the show it was a little disappointing that the meal beforehand did not reach the same high standards. It would have been 4/5 for the concert alone. Encourage people to come earlier , enjoy a drink and pre order for the interval.

Kursalon Vienna: Johann Strauss and Mozart Concert Including 4-Course Dinner
, Jan 2020
We were a little disappointed the Kursalon restaurant was undergoing renovations so the dinner was moved, but we had a lovely time. It was just down the street at Parlor and the service and food was delicious.
The concert was incredible, we had chills from the performances especially the female vocalist. Loved the variety of the orchestra on its own, some dancing and some singing numbers. Perfect amount of time as well. I was worried I might get bored haha, not the case! Very great experience when visiting Vienna.
We totally enjoyed our experience at The Kursalon in Vienna. As it turned out, the hotel AMA Waterways used in Vienna after our Christmas Markets cruise was The Intercontinental which is across the street. Our dinner was excellent. Drinks were not included but were reasonable. Service was very good. The concert featured a wonderful ensemble, excellent dancers and great soloists. We highly recommend this event and would attend it again ourselves.
Kursalon is a beautiful venue, perfect for the Strauss and Mozart concert we saw. The orchestra, singers and dancers were superb.
We also booked the 4 course 'gourmet' dinner and it was a disappointment. The service was excellent but the food itself was poor. I think the chef's were concentrating on presentation rather than quality and whilst the food looked nice, unfortunately it didn't taste that good.
Soak up Austrian music and cuisine with a gourmet dinner and concert at the Kursalon Vienna. Begin your evening with four courses of authentic fare at the Restaurant Johann inside the stunning Kursalon Vienna concert hall. After dinner, make your way to your seat in Lanner Hall for a performance of classical masterpieces from Mozart and Strauss, accompanied by ballet dancers and opera singers. Schönbrunn Palace Audio-Guided Tour, Dinner and Concert
, Dec 2019
A fabulous opulent palace well worth seeing. Audio tour was informative, but my headset didn't work and had to share my husbands.
Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, but set menu and no choices.
Bit of a faf collecting tickets - why they can't be all in one place instead of spread out so much is maddening and a long walk in between each.

made the night an experience to remember

Bus service was excellent and the guide was tops. She was very sweet and very informative. She answered each and every question we asked her. Bratislava is full of history and worth visiting, but just one hitch, 2 1/2 - 3 hours would have been more than enough to tour and visit Bratislava as such. Personally, I would have preferred to pay more and have a coach service to take us around Slovakia for the remaining hours. Others I met on the same bus were of the same opinion and I hope that they will air their views as well.
Milan met me on time and took me to some very interesting places. He is very knowledgeable and interesting. I was taken at my own pace, it was not rushed . He would ask me questions and I would ask him as well. At the end of the tour he took me to where lunch was served explained in English the choices from the menu, told me to only pay for my drink and left a map so I knew my way back. Well done Milan

Kursalon Vienna: Johann Strauss and Mozart Concert Including 3-Course Dinner
Food was nothing special
, Oct 2019
We waited a long time for the food and it was nothing special when you consider that we paid alot of money for it. Have to admit that we were quite pissed off when a group of people came in half an hour after we arrived and got served before us. Thank God for the concert because they played so beautifully, we loved every minute of it, would go back again but only for the concert.
Experience an unforgettable evening out in Vienna with a dinner concert at the legendary Kursalon Vienna concert hall. Indulge in a delicious 3-course dinner, then enjoy a memorable performance of Mozart and Strauss masterpieces, featuring world-class musicians, opera singers, and ballet dancers.

Had a great time on Friday with Lucas! He is very knowledgable, and showed us a great variety of food and wine from Vienna. We had a great time with some great food! This is the 2nd time of done this tour, and it was just as fun and enjoyable! Plenty of food and drink. We did not leave hungry. I highly recommend this tour.
Lucas was spectacular. He is a professional chef and really knew the best places to take us. It ranged from a historic
coffee shop to a luncheonette
serving pork “delicacies.” We’ve been on many food tours throughout Europe. This one ranked at the top. Highly recommended!!!

Vienna has many good options for that. But of course, we could also explore Vienna's surrounding, lovely wine places (including wine tastings) in the city and nearby, the capitals Bratislava and Prague are not far away ...
In Vienna itself, you may decide it is not your first time here, then you will find alternative things, which you have not heard or heard of makes sense to book a minimum of 2 hours! The mentioned price is per hour.
I also offer tours for children! Activities and museums which could be of interest for you ...
