Tho Ha is the name of a craft village in Bac Giang province. It is an ancient village with charming scenery, banyan trees, water wharves, communal houses, ancient houses in the ancient alleyways. The village was famous with Gom Sanh (pottery without glaze fired with dry grass). Then the products here faced with compettion by products from other places in Vietnam and China as well. So the villagers of Tho Ha turned into making rice paper and thus pottery job was gradually abandoned, coming to an end of traditional pottery produce. A day trip to the village you will experience the daily life of people here by tasting a very normal, but unique local food here that you can find nowhere else in Vietnam.
