Loved touring and learning about the growing process. Visiting the different locations on the vineyard and enjoying the wines on site made the experience that much better!
Lunch was delicious and we enjoyed getting to meet others on our tour as we shared the meal. Staff was friendly and made the experience unforgettable. What a perfect day on a beautiful vineyard.
A great tour for those with a spare day in Auckland. Ruth was an excellent guide & driver-we visited some beautiful vineyards and the lunch was delicious. I wish I had more time to explore the island a bit more!

Very good value. We took an early ferry then used the public bus that was included to explore a little on our own and a great lunch at the Oyster Inn in Onera. The winery tour included 3 excellent wineries. Only negative is that this was a larger size group tour, about 35 people. Some where loud and obnoxious from the start making it difficult to hear the guide’s commentary.
We loved the tour from beginning to end!!!!
Our driver was so nice and informative- trying to please in every way
The wineries were amazing and the hosts very knowledgeable
I would def recommend this tour!

Waiheke Island: Zipline and Island Small Group Day Tour from Auckland
So much Fun!
, Feb 2020
What a great excursion. The two guides we had made it so much fun. There were 3 ziplines, each one getting longer and faster as it progressed. There was a bush walk after back to the center and that was very beautiful. Thank you!! It was alot of fun!!!
Stacy at Ecozip was wonderful! Our reservation was for 1:45 trip but we were on a cruise and our all aboard was 5:30, it would have been a return at 5:45 if we keep our original reservation. Stacy moved up our reservation and walked us into an earlier group so we could make the 4:00 ferry and get back with time to spare. The views on each of the zip line runs was beautiful and never had a worry about the equipment. A plus experience, I would do it again! Love everything about Ecozip
Thank you so much for Eco zip line for this wonderful and exciting adventure! Would say you really can't miss out this! Specially thank you to our coaches Dan and Michael for taking great care of us. Also to the lady who stayed behind and waited us to return n pick up my friends phone, you are a legend!

It was our first time and very enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and the island is beautiful. The tour guides are very friendly and made you feel welcome. They are accommodating as well. I think that more busses are needed closer to going home time. We waited for more than an hour at stop 13, because the bus was full. This was a bit frustrating. In conclusion our first trip to the island was amazing.
Great concept. Very congested at the port. Needed two buses there. Not easy to find the stops along the way. Not well signposted. Generally very good guides. Stops are well organised. Not a necessity in the island. We only took it four times and walked the rest. Could have used public transport.

This was a great way to spend the day! I was fortunate to have a beautiful, sunny day for this excursion. The ferry ride was easy and our guide met us right at the harbor. David (our host for this trip) was delightful and took wonderful care of us, regaling us with great stories about life on the island. The wineries and olive oil were really good and the food was delicious. I opted to be dropped off at the village (rather than the ferry) for the return, which gave me time to browse the shops, check out the beach and enjoy more of the day. Wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes- especially if you plan on walking back to the ferry from the village.
Still talking about this tour 2 weeks later. Great wine, great food, new friends. Of all offer on the island, this was worth the money for the added length and food component. It is a little more expensive, but the lunch we received at the end and the local guided (island native Cam) were worth it. The early start helped with other travel plans.
A couple of thoughts to the tour company: for the price the ferry tickets should be included (as is the case with all other tour offerings we saw). I chalked this up to the tour being geared towards people already staying on the island, but the reality of the day was that 80-90% of people on tour came across on the ferry. Also, several of us (5-6) on the tour continued on to a later lunch together and all agreed that there should have been at least one additional winery visited. 3 total over the course of 5+ hours seamed to be not enough.
Indulge in the succulent tastes of Waiheke Island on a 5.5-hour food and wine tour. An informative guide picks you up from your island accommodation or the wharf — if you’ve taken the ferry from Auckland — and takes you to boutique wineries. Taste wine accompanied by locally produced specialties such as award-winning olive oil, fresh-shucked oysters and artisan cheese. Then settle in for a platter lunch at a vineyard restaurant. If you like, stay longer and make your own way back to Auckland at your leisure.
Overall the tour was really well done. The guide knows a lot about the island and took a couple of extra stops where I did not see a lot of other tour groups. We went to the local market and were allowed to shop, we also stopped on a popular lookout and drove down to the beach. The wineries were very friendly with our guide and the tour.
The only issue we had was that the van broke down at our first location. This forced the group to split up and go into two separate cars as her husband was able to bring a car down to us and one of the workers at the winery let our guide borrow her car! The guide then bought us a bottle of wine for the table and also was willing to drop us off at individual locations as opposed to taking us back to the ferry.
Overall great experience!

At the conclusion of the tastings, we were treated to a very nice lunch. Following lunch we were returned to the ferry dock for the return trip. A very enjoyable tour and the driver/guide was informative and congenial.

The art walk was an interesting group of New Zealand artists. It was quite a bit of walking and some uphill however the tour guide really went out of her way to accommodate since it was more walking than we expected( 2 of us were over 80 years old). She obtained her boss' car, which we did not expect, and took us between some of the places and also to 3 artist's homes. We had lunch( the guide had purchased sandwiches earlier) at the third home. All in all it was a great day. We did tip, which is not necessary, because of the auto which was not part of the deal. Even then she said it was not necessary but we insisted ! EXCELLENT DAY !!!!!!
