Det var spændende at se begge slotte...

Det var spændende at se begge slotte, men der er desværre ikke meget tid til at gå rundt selv på egen hånd. Hvis man har svært ved at gå, skal man ikke tage med på turen.
Amazing Sites. A little Rushed.

Our tour guide Laura did a great job! She was so upbeat and sweet the entire time. The day starts out meeting at the tour bus. There are several gray line tours lined up at the meeting spot so you have to make sure to get in the right line. The first stop is Linderhof. There was plenty of time allotted there. We did the inside tour and still got to walk around the gardens, just didn’t climb all the way to the top of the stairs. If you skip the gift shop and the toilet you could make it. Next is the little town. VERY little time here, only 20 minutes. Barry enough for 2 little shops much less actually see anything. And it was so cute I would have like to explore a little further from the bus drop off. Neuschwanstein was also a little rushed, in peak season we weren’t able to have time to eat and see the bridge for views of the castle. The line was 20 minutes long or more just to get on it. But there is plenty of time to do one or the other and then the castle tour. I wonder if they could make the castle tour later in the day to give more time for these things but I’m not sure how it all works. It’s a long day for anyone with mobility problems. The only rest is the bus drive between each stop. There is a bus that takes you most of the way up to see the castle and then 15 minute walk from there. And the castle is 400 stairs inside then you have to walk a mile back down to catch the bus back home. Overall it was great to see the sites and the most convenient way to do it from Munich.

This was my fourth trip to Neuschwanstein Castle and it was by far not my best. I had not been here since 2000 and my memory was fuzzy. The guide presented the restaurants at the parking lot at the base of the castle as poor with one exception. After waiting in line for almost 30 minutes and over paying for poor food we started our climb to the castle only to find a mostly empty restaurant about half way up with more reasonable prices and what looked to be better food. It was very disappointing to be mislead as we were.

I enjoyed this trip very much. The guide, Martin, was very helpful and informative. The castles were amazing. I would have preferred having more time to explore the grounds of Linderhof and skipping the short stop in Oberammergau. Not everyone cares to shop for souvenirs.

The day of our tour there were a lot of tourists and the tour guides kept people moving so there wasn't much time to really absorb what you were seeing.
Day Tour from Munich

This was tour of Linderhof, Oberammergau, and Neuschweinstein castle by a full double decker bus. Tour group was very large. When on bus was asked to pay additional 27 euro cash for tickets to 2 castles however once received the tickets the price shown on the tickets was only 19.5 euro total. The first two stops were very quick and Oberammergau was barely 30 minutes. Plenty of time at Neuschweinstein to explore area on your own and then meet for inside tour of castle.
If you can't go on your own... take it

The visit to Linderhof is too short, not allowing people to even properly see the main spot. The palace is very small, the visit is quick but it certainly is worthwhile. If only we had more time... Plenty of construction work going on, too (grotto is closed - no information on that). As for the main attraction (Neuschwanstein), the available time is suited although you'll still have to put up with queues and the usual tourist overkill. I'd say the tour is fine but nothing beats going on your own and have time to check everything there is to be seen.
Good trip

The journey was well organized, however it can be improved in many ways especially regarding the hospitality.
A fun day in Bavaria

It was great transportation to and from the castles. There is plenty to do at each castle if you choose not to spend the extra Euros to get in, but the castles are something worth going in. I wish the guide told more stories during the drive and that there was more time spent in the village.
Great Day Out

I was worried after reading previous reviews that we would either be spending the whole day on a bus or in queues but it wasn’t like that at all. The 2 castles were quite different but well worth it to pay the EUR27 for the tour. There was heaps of time at Neuschwanstein and we would have had even more time if we didn’t waste 30mins at the previous stop because one passenger didn’t return to the bus! (Seriously people, it’s not that hard to get back to the bus on time!!). Great and easy way to see both castles and have everything taken care of for you.
