Our guide was Joey and he was incredible! When I think of this tour I think of his funny jokes and the way he was always humming or talking and keeping us all awake. This is one of the most memorable tours we took during our 3 week European adventure.
We stopped at the Rock of Cashel first, which was amazing. The ruins are incredible and some of the graves were fairly recent. The view is amazing too, overlooking dairy cattle and rolling hills. There was a steep incline hike to get up to the Rock of Cashel, it may be difficult for some people.
After we were done here we went off to Cork for lunch and to stretch our legs. It was a nice stop. The bus left Cork and went to Blarney. For an hour Joey sang Irish folk songs. And talked and sang and talked.
Blarney was the highlight of the day. We didnt kiss the Blarney stone. According to our guide no one really knows which stone was the original kissing stone that gives the gift of gab. Some people go around and kiss all the stones on the premises. We figured it wasnt worth it and walked around the grounds instead. There were really cool waterfalls and old-time dog kennels. The grounds are spectacular! Also at Blarney there was an enormous all things Irish gift shop, that is a must!
Hopefully you love this tour as much as we did.
