The tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions the whole trip - he also had a flair for drama! He was also very impartial. This wasn't a propaganda tour at all.Cu Chi itself was extensive and there was lots to do. The tunnels were only one part of the whole experience. We saw the hiding places, the traps, the weapons, the food, the guns and vehicles. It was all fascinating. I highly recommend it.
The guide was impressive with his knowledge. The bus was comfortable and just about on time. Cu Chi itself was pretty good - but you are on a bit of a conveyor belt with many other tour groups. Still worth seeing for mine.
For noting... it takes a long time to get out there, so you spend most of the 6 hours or so in a bus.
Stop during journey was not announced we stopped to buy some souvenirs.
They offer an option to come back by boat once you are there, it should be included in some package before. They should renew the bus, it was the oldest one in our trip in Vietnam, very narrow and dirty.
Despite of that, tour was totally worth it, guide explained us very interesting aspects.
The tour we had was with Kim Travel. Our tour guide was Tin, he was very informative and entertaining. We definitely learned a lot on this tour, and i think there were 20-22 of us taking the tour so we were all in one full bus. On the way back, we had the option to get down at War Remnants Museum which is actually quite a good idea to take since coming from Cu chi tunnels, then next option to get dropped in Ben Tranh market for some shopping or food. If not, get dropped off at hotel pickups. I would definitely recommend the tour as thewhole tour was very informative from knowing about the city of Saigon/Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, the history, and of course how it was like during the Vietnam war as we go around the Cuchi tunnels.
We joined a half-day group tour. The Tunnels are impressive! The tour had good english speaking guide and he told us some interesting facts. Very tiny tunnels that show how difficult it would have been during war time. It's possible to explore the tunnels it's a little claustrophobic inside.
Excellent day tour to the tunnels. Picked up from the hotel, water provided, drove to the tunnels site almost 2 hours away in a comfortable shuttle. Guide was excellent, providing plenty of insights on the tunnels and the war and Viet Cong. You end up spending about 2 hours at the tunnel area, extremely eye-opening experience. Optional activities include a shooting range where you can shoot from the likes of the AK-47 or M3. Highly recommended.
