A fairly long walk through two adjacent areas of Toronto. Guide decided to meet about 100 yards away from the advertised meeting spot which added to my stress if not his. View of the Grange, its surrounding architecture and the development of the park a good start. History of immigration into Canada and Toronto fascinating and the views of the Graffiti alleys interesting. Not much specific history about China Town apart from the Lucky Moose legal precedent. Kensington Market a more amenable subject for a tour and the guide warmed to his theme. Pleasant group to walk with and worth the cash and effort but more background colour and some effort from the guide would have been welcome.
Highly recommended and loved this walking tour. I went to Toronto to attend a conference and found this walking tour on viator. I heard other people talking about this tour, at the conference. Try it - you will not be disappointed. Kensington is amazing. My only suggestion is that the tour company may get a few samples or discounts along the way through Kensington. But don't let my suggestion stop any one from trying out this walking tour.
This was a great experience! Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. My children were engaged the whole time and they learned so much about the history of both Chinatown and Kensington market!
Outstanding tour guide Mike who knew both history and culture and who answered everyone's questions with patience. Even as the tour was going past the appointed time he wanted to share with us his love of the city.
