We have never had such a tour. STORM LI was just incredible. He took good care of us and explained everything to us. Picked up punctually at the hotel, safely brought by train, shown a really beautiful section of the wall, the way up was already indescribably beautiful. There were no tourists and everything was so original. Very interesting was also his home, where we were really lovingly and proudly led around and got a great lunch. And the tea was delicious. One really forgot that one is a tourist on this day. We will never forget that feeling. Also the temple and the explanations about its religion really explained and showed us STORM LI. On the way we were even shown a factory, where everything is still made by hand. On the way back we stopped in a tea house. It was so interesting. Many thanks to the incredible STORM LI

This Private Day Tour to the Great Wall was really great.
The guide, Storm, called me to confirm the pick-up time at my hotel.
In the morning, I was picked up on time. We drove to the outer area of Beijing.
When we arrived, we made a stop at Dragon Temple. Storm explained me much things, about the religion and purpose of this temple. We changed the car to a Jeep and trip was going on to the Great Wall. The scenery there is absolutley beautiful! The walk to the Great Wall was a bis exhausting, as it was really warm on that day. But we made some short breaks, and it was very feasible to hike to the Wall. The view is incredible and breath-taking, as you can see on attached pictures.
At this part of the wall, there are almost no tourist. On this day, I was the only foreigner. There were only three other Chinese tourists. Also it looks very original, and not crowded by tourists.
After some time on the Wall, we went back to the car.
Storm took me to a really nice, small village were we had lunch. That was really fantastic for me. As I have the coeliac disease, its not very easy in China to eat and tell Chinese people what Im allowed to eat. Storm described my problem to this very nice lady, the cooker, and I got a fantastic lunch best lunch I had in China!
On our way back to Beijing, Ive told Storm, that I need some souvenirs. We made a side trip to a factory, where I could buy some souvenirs.

I really can recommend this trip, as it was fantastic experience. Storm is a really nice guide who can tell you a lot about the history, the Great Wall and Chinese habits.

I had a great time at this tour. Storm was a very caring guide who planned an extraordinary private tour, which was really no typical tourist trip. He showed me very local places, told me fascinating stories about them, and drove me to some explicit areas to see and walk on the great wall. Loved it!

I felt so lucky during this tour! The guide Storm Li was very nice and this section of the Great Wall is simply amazing, much wilder, ancient and interesting than the super touristic Badaling. I was actually the only foreigner and I was alone on the Wall with the guide!!! We walked up a very nice valley on the side of the Great Wall, stopped a few minutes at the Dragon Temple and at the spring and we were soon on top. Afterwards, we had lunch in a family restaurant in a small village where they don't see many foreigners either. The food was delicious and I even had the chance to close a dumpling with the cook - a Chinese grandmother! This was definitely the highight of my trip.
In general, I was very satisfied with the tour price, guide, activities and felt much smarter than other tourists :D
