We enjoyed this trip very much. There was a lot to see and learn. The waterfalls are beautiful, and you can take a swim after the long drive (about 2.5h and 3 border crossings). Then the 1h drive to Mostar, which has a beautiful old town with many restaurants and souvenir shops. The food is much less expensive than in Dubrovnik, and they accept euros as well as bosnian marks for payment in many places. It was great to experience another country and culture during one vacation. Both the local guide and the Kroatian guide gave lots of interesting information about the country and its history. Although the wake up was early and the weather quite hot, I would definately reccomend this trip. The views from the bus, especially along the coast, are beautiful. I went on this visit with my boyfriend, but it would be suitable for almost any type of vacation (family, friends or solo). Please note though that there is a lot of walking on stairs (to the waterfall) and difficult surfaces (cobble stones in Mostar old town), so it may be difficult for some.

I liked this tour more than others I had in Dubrovnik. The pick up was well organized and in time. We crossed all the borders quickly. Guide in Mostar was very nice. The country itself and places we visited were also very interesting. The guide in the bus was good.

Very recommendable day trip from Dubrovnik. Falls were spectacular and Mostar visit something different than Dubrovnik. Trip was well organized. The guide was friendly and knowladgable. Separate guide Jasmine in Mostar very pleasant and professional. In the visited locations kunas and euros were accepted. Border crossings went smoothly, approx 10 minutes each.

Our guides were great. Lots of good information
When it says that the entrance fees are not included, you should specify what entrance fee. We did not realize that the entrance for the waterfalls were not included. but by then we were not interested in seeing any further waterfalls as we had been to the Pletvice falls already. we also only had 45 minutes at the Kravice and not worth to pay that amount for just 45 minutes.

Joining a day tour and visiting Mostar is a really great side-trip from Dubrovnik. I am really glad I did it and I would recommend it to anyone. Mostar is as beautiful and unique as any image you have seen of it. Actually being able to walk the streets and take in the sights and sounds and food and Bosnian coffee was a treat!

My tour was unable to stop at the Kravice Waterfalls due to weather and instead we stopped at the wonderful village of Počitelj nearby Mostar and the town of Medjugorje a Catholic pilgrimage site.

The tour company itself could have done better though... I'll explain my experience:

- I was picked up by a van not bus where every seat was taken. It was very tight quarters and I was very tempted to get off the van and abort the tour knowing that about 6 hours of my day was going to be spent in those conditions. Luckily for us, the guide soon announced he was going to trade the van for a large touring bus. I think it was for a technical issue, not for our comfort. But all I could think was THANK GOD! I was glad I didn't leave the tour!! The bus was roomy - not just because there were more seats than people at this point - but the seats themselves were larger and more comfortable. The bus was also smoother than the van.

- The tour guide did take the time to narrate some of the history of the area, which I appreciated. But he wasn't particularly engaging and he didn't spend time with us at any of the stops.

- The included tour guide for Mostar was a young student who pretty much called it in. She spoke with us very little and barely walked us around the town at all. The tour ended in a gift shop... I'm assuming there was a commission paid to the tour company for whatever might have been purchased by members of my group.

- I really should mention - and this is not the tour company's fault - but there are several border crossings between Croatia and Bosnia 3 stops in each direction and they are very time-consuming. It took about 15-20 minutes per stop for passport control/customs. That was fine, really. But, if it had been the summer during peak tourist season...apparently the stop could take more than an hour. I can't even imagine that... We learned that Croatia is considering a bridge that would make it possible to skip over Bosnia and avoid 2 of those border crossings. i just thought this was worth mentioning to anyone who is visiting in the peak season I visited in early February.

- I don't think it was typical for the tour to stop at Medjugorje, which is probably a good thing. Unless you are a Catholic pilgrim, it is not very interesting.

- Počitelj was an awesome stop on the tour! I hope they will stop here for all of their tours because I really think it is worth it. I enjoyed exploring and climbing the stairs to the very top of the hill to look down on the town and the river!

If you are going to take this trip you should be aware there is lots of driving and lots of waiting at borders. Good choice if you really want to visit Bosnia-Herzegovina and have an entire day to spare. I recommend this trip over other trips to Mostar as it visits the Kravice waterfalls. The tour guide, Marija, was excellent.

This trip is incredible and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going to Bosnia. It is a nice combination of rural and urban areas that gave me some really lasting impressions of such a storied country. Milo made some great recommendations in Mostar!
