A good insight into the history of the city with external visits to the points of interest
Our guide was fantastic. His knowledge of the area and the history added greatly to our visit to Berlin. I would highly recommend booking this tour for a meaningful visit to place where there is so much history with someone who has in depth knowledge on Berlin. He was flexible, asked us what we wanted him to cover and far exceeded our expectation. He is one of the best guides I have had the pleasure of touring with.
Thomas was a wonderful guide. He took my husband, his first time in Berlin, me who had been a student there in 1962 and returned in 1990 shortly after the Wall came down and two local German friends on this private tour of the city. Thomas was able to provide tons of information in this time, both a basic orientation for my husband and by answering very-informed questions from our local friends. All four of us agreed that he was very knowledgeable and presented both historic information and current political information clearly and impartially. This was an excellent experience and I recommend it highly.
Thomas our guide was A and really put what happened in Wannsee and Potsdam in great context. For the military history buff this tour is a must. Made a special stop at the site of the 1936 Olympics where Thomas provided fascinating background into the German psyche and culture of the times. Grounds at Sansouci were closed to normal traffic yet he went out of his way to ensure we didn't miss the experience of walking through the spacious paths and seeing the beautiful palaces and waterfalls. This was one of the major highlights of our entire week in Berlin.
Thomas our guide was absolutely superb! Energetic, deeply insightful, with a great sense of humor to keep everyone engaged and entertained. The day flew by! Porcelain factory and hilltop historical area at Meissen, walking tour of numerous sites in Dresden...from start to finish it was a tremendous experience. Left with a broad understanding of the important roles these two locales played in history. Quality of tour and guide top notch. Would definitely book a tour again if returning to Berlin. And, I'd ask for Thomas!
This is probably the best 3 hours I have spent on any tour activity in the world. It is a very efficient use of time to maximize viewing opportunities. The guide, Thomas Pieters, was incredibly knowledgeable and delivered the story in perfectly fluent English. He ushered us around town in a very comfortable Mercedes 6-seater.
I strongly recommend you consider this tour. You will not regret this experience. And if you don't experience Berlin this way, you will end up missing a lot of Berlin's secrets.
I cannot say enough good words for Viator and its representatives
Each tour we took was prompt, informative and protective of our safety. We took 2 tours in Berlin and also a cruise in Praha. We sat in the from of the ship and food was very delish
Will recommend this company HIGHLY!!!
