The tour i felt was heavily overpriced for what you actually recieved! It consisted of a nice train ride (which anyone can buy - it doesnt need to be with a tour guide), then when we arrived, the first snippets of information were given amongst loud traffic and then at layby points throughout the walk. There was a real emphasis on the groups time keeping, which was felt most acutely when you got into the castle itself - the tour was quite rushed, not giving you any time to look around for yourself. At a push, i would pay perhaps 5 - 10 Euros for this to hear about the history of the castle and information on king Ludwig. It is not worth any more than this. I would strongly advise getting the train there yourself and paying for an entry ticket either on arrival or online! Nothing extra or worthwhile is truly gained with this tour. If anything, there is alot of waiting about and time restrictions on what you truly want to experience!

Dan was very knowledgible. It was little longer than I wanted because I wanted to come back to Munich around 6pm, so I could do some shopping but we returned back around 7.20pm and all shops around Marienplatz closed at 8pm. We had to kill a lot of free time standing around before going on the bus and train and we could have come back to Munich little earlier.

We Spend 10 days in Munich and on her last day we took this tour across then countryside! It was absolutely worth every penny to book through the Tour service because it really took the confusion and possible worry of taking on the entire trip yourself if you’re not from Germany. Out tour guide was Danny and she was a rockstar. Well informed and well spoke! She had a great tip about the donut guy have way up to the castle. I would highly recommend for anyone!

The company provides you with transportation and jumping the ticket line-up at the castle. There was little information given except during the audio tour of the castle itself (given as part of castle entrance fee which was extra). Castle has very strict timelines and big groups inside so there is little time to view the areas - you are moved like cattle from one area to the next.

Was a fantastic experience and we just happen to be there when it snowed. Easy to walk up and must try the doughnuts. Tour guides were great

This is definitely the must do when in Germany . The castle is great but the scenery is mesmerizing ., and the best part of the tour was our tour guides Chris and Danny . They really brought the story behind the castle alive and made it all the more relevant .

My husband were originally going to do the trip on our own, but there were no more castle tickets available online. We booked this tour instead and were able to tour the castle! There wasn’t too much time in the city, but we still were able to grab a quick bite and wander around a little. The tour guide Ali was very knowledgeable and seeing the castle was fantastic.

We had a great day trip, about 1 hour 40 mins coach drive . Jax ,our guide, really made the visit with his knowledge of the castle plus some helpful tips for first time visitors re places to eat/visit in Munich on way back.Need trainers for hill walk to castle, but easy, well paced., could push a buggy easily.Worth picking up a roll for lunch before trip so can look round more. The castle is well worth going in to see but our castle guide rushed us round so couldn't stop to really look well, kept going on about the next group behind us.She seemed very disinterested but still worth doing as is amazing inside. Jax suggested trying the sweet dumpling/doughnut type delicacy at the stand outside the castle -they were superb!! You must try them! The glauwein was good too! Beautiful lake nearby which Jax showed us. Had a great time, thanks Jax!

Everything inside and outside of the castle is amazing. We were very luck to have a very good weather, blue skies and snow scene, very beautiful. The castle is equally mesmerising, definitely worth the 4 hours journey to and fro from Munich HBF.
