We didn't use this ticket. If you do the bus tour you see the whole area, changing of the guard, etc. We didn't go back for the independent castle segment. And you have to be there at a certain time - only 15 minutes leeway - to exchange the voucher for a ticket. Seemed unnecessary to us.
Prague castle is a must see attraction. You have to meet a representative there to claim your voucher/ticket and it seemed like you could of easily missed the person as its a busy court yard. It would be better to have a print out voucher that you hand in at the main entrance.
It was great and the castle is something that you cannot miss. It really is the highpoint of Prague. I would also recommend fast passing literally anything you do in Europe. we saved 4 hours at the Paris catacombs and the Eiffell Tower. Back to Prague, just a wonderful safe, friendly walkable town and would highly recommend going if you are considering.
This was a terrible waste of time and money! I couldn't find my 'guide' who was supposed to meet me at the castle. When I arrived there were absolutely no queues anyway. I wouldn't bother with this again!
Im not convinced you really need this ticket, we arrived 20mins prior to the meeting time as was instructed and had to wait the full 20 mins until our guide arrived. He then proceeded to tell us where to go etc but spent far far to much time on this. We didnt really learn anything we didnt know or that the map on our ticket did not show therefore the time wasted could have been used to forget about skipping the line but just going and buy our own tickets, we also had a lengthy wait to get into the cathedral so the ticket didnt let us skip any lines except the actual entrance ticket. I would just go and buy your tickets at the gate.
I would agree with some of the other reviews - I don't know that you really need a skip the line to get your tickets. We went on a Sunday, and the gates opened before the cathedral opened. Everyone has to wait in the security lines to get in. I will say, it is much quicker to go to the side entrance and NOT the entrance for security up the castle steps. The side entrance is right at one of the tram stops and that security entrance has 4-5 metal detector walk throughs where the step entrance only has one. We couldn't get our tickets from the tour guide until 12 but by then there were probably 500-600 people already in line to get into the cathedral. We had been there early but didn't realize that there was a giant line forming so we were just walking around until we realized that everyone was already lining up. We had to leave one of our family members in line while we went to find our ticket guide. I don't know that I saw a line at the official ticket office.. maybe so... and then I guess this would have been worth paying the extra money... just know that you need to line up 30 minutes or so before the cathedral doors open. As far as the tickets go, these tickets get you into 4 different areas. There are several other areas you could see but that are not included.
