Limoncelloverkostung und malerische Bootstour: Amalfiküste - Tagesausflug ab Rom

Luca was a wonderful guide and provided us with a most enjoyable day. I would recommend this excursion even without the limoncello tasting.

On this 12 1/2 hour excursion we only got to spend 20 minutes in Positano (not really enough time to go to the restroom and get food after riding the train and bus for over 5 hours). Then on to Amalfi for only 2 hours. You have to climb over 250 steps to do the limoncello tasting. Then on to public transportation again. So we had 10 hours of transportation and less than 2 1/2 hours in the very crowded ports.

Our guide Anna was terrific. We had lots of spare time at all of our stops. Everything ran like a swiss watch. Train on time, little motor coach on time, ferries on time. I wish we could have spent more time at the orchard. It would have been delightful to actually see how they were cut off the vine and transported down the hill for processing. Anna made the really long day delightful!

This activity is a must!! You have to see the Amalfi coast when you are in Italy. There is a lot of beautiful views and places for amazing pictures. Our tour guide Anna was very nice and she is very knowledgeable. The cruise ride was very nice. Be ready to go up 200 steps for the limoncello tasting, it’s not as bad as it sounds thou! This activity was one of the best we did in Italy.

We had a great trip with Luca from Rome to Amalfi. He is one of the best tour guides we've ever had. He was very organized and effective in shepherding a group of about 14 people by train, bus, and boat. We started from Rome on a high speed train to Naples, where we boarded a van and drove the gorgeous Amalfi coast from Sorrento to Amalfi. We stopped in Positano for lunch and a visit to shops and the beach, where we sampled a serving of the local Delizia di Limone- recommended by Luca and very yummy! We then drove to Amalfi where we walked up many steps to a Limoncello farm for free samples and lemon cake. We then took a ferry to Salerno where we boarded the high speed train for Rome. A final touch was when Luca purchased wine, cheese, and olives for a delicious snack on the train ride to Rome.

Took this trip on a Saturday in July 2018 from Rome to Amalfi. The weather was perfect and so was the entire day. The train from Rome to Naples in easy, the bus ride form Naples to Positano was very scenic. The amount of time spent in the towns was perfect, not too long and not too short. We had time to do as we want and never felt rushed. The hike up the lemon farm was worth it as it provided a beautiful view down to the town of Amalfi and out to the sea. The little snacks we had on the train ride back to Rome was a beautiful touch!

Luca was a great guide . The whole day was organized extremely well. We had time on our own wandering through Positano and Amalfi and in between Luca filled us in with historical facts of the area. Beautiful views and lots packed into one day. Well worth doing. Only disappointment was at Limoncello tasting , whilst it was delicious , as was the Lemon cake, there was little information about the process of producing the Limoncello.

My boyfriend and I took this day trip together! We started the day walking to the train station together and ended up finding our group very easily - the train ride to Naples was quick and fun we really met a lot of great people on this trip. From Naples we took a bus ride to Positano - we passed by Pompeii and learned so much. The road leading to Positano was so narrow and fun. That town was so amazing! So beautiful and lively - We got there around 10:30am and the only thing that stunk was that the lunch places were not open until 12 and we were starving even after eating breakfast! We highly suggest staying away from restaurants thar serve

This tour is worth every penny. Be prepared to walk - hills and stairs - apple watch says we climbed over 20 flights that day. The steps up to the lemon farm are not bad - you take breaks along the way and it is not directly up.

If its swimming weather - pack a bathing suit and enjoy a few hours in the Med. Positano is beautiful and its fun to see it by land and by sea. The boat you take is a water ferry, be sure to sit on the left to catch views of the coast. The time in Amalfi is well spent. We are so happy we booked this tour.

The Amalfi Coast was great and I was SO glad I didn't decide to drive it instead-it is so narrow and filled with cars and buses. I didn't really get much from the climb up to the Limoncello factory-it was steep and hard climb and we had a sip of Limoncello and a bit of cake. The view was great, but it was great in other areas too. That's my only downer-the view overall was great, the train was fine and the guide, Lucca, bought us snacks and wine to eat and drink on the train home. His English was amazing and he was very friendly but also conscientious. Overall well worth the expense.
