Absolut fantastische Erfahrung. Wir konnten einige Weingüter sehen, an denen keine der anderen Gruppen teilnahm, und genossen den ganzen Tag über jede Verkostung. Eine schöne Art, die Insel Waiheke und ihre vielen Weine kennenzulernen.

Wir waren von den Boutique-Weinbergen begeistert und der Wein war köstlich. Der Grund für 3 Sterne ist, dass wir pünktlich am Dock ankamen und unser Fahrer uns 30 Minuten zu spät abholte. Wir machten uns bereit, andere Pläne zu schmieden, als er auftauchte. Er sagte, er würde es wieder gut machen, indem er uns ein Mittagessen (Pizza) kaufte, und nachdem er die anderen abgesetzt hatte, würde er uns zu einem anderen Weinberg bringen. Er ging auf sein Wort zurück und setzte uns mit den anderen ab. Der Tag hatte einen felsigen Start, aber insgesamt war es ein lustiger Tag, aber ich möchte keine leeren Versprechen bekommen.

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the important part of tour being the wine and vineyards. A few logistical anomalies popped up as the rest of the group came out on an earlier ferry as we had asked everyone to do as it was a busy day. We started the tour and came back and picked you up. I took you to extra wineries at our expense to compensate for the short wait. We provided the snacks I promised but as one lady was gluten free I decided against the pizza which I should have made clear to you. The rest of the group gave great feedback. A nice day trip to Waiheke

Met some wonderful wine aficionados from Chicago on our day trip to Waiheke. Our driver/guide took us on a driving tour of the island’s areas (we didn’t stop to get out) but the main focus was the wineries. We visited 3 wineries and got to taste 10 different wines. We visited the vineyards behind the cellar doors to see where the grapes were grown. At our third winery, Passage Rock, we sat down for a really nice lunch of steak and salad before our tasting and left with a case to be shipped and enjoyed at home. Waiheke is an easy, delightful day trip out of Auckland.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We went to three wineries and enjoyed every single one of them. Grant (the owner and organizer) did a fantastic job communicating with us via email before the event with details on when to leave and what ferry to take to get to the island. He was our personal driver for the day and took us to the most amazing wineries on the island and provided a nice history. 10/10 your and its a MUST for when I come back.

Enjoyed hearing the history of the island as well as the history of the vineyards. Grant gave us a nice variety of vineyards. Enjoyed a tour of the island. We ended up being a group of 8, which was a nice size.

Grant did a wonderful job with his commentary about the island. He provided us with 4 different winery experiences that were each unique. However this was billed as a "small group" experience and with 11 people it did not meet that description. We were fortunate that the group was fun and lovely.

Hi Bob, thank you so much for the review and thank you for your generosity on the day.. Yes we can take 11 passengers but rarely do. One couple added an extra friend last minute. We take an average of 8 guests for the sake of group dynamics. For the first time in 2 and a half years things are starting to pump but we still now keep our numbers low for that boutique experience. We pride ourselves on staying in tune with the reality of this small ecosystem. Every day is different on Waiheke. Cheers!

Very knowledgeable guide that knows the wine and wineries intimately but also the history of the wines. Excellent selections of wineries, and delicious lunch at a beautiful winery. Highly recommend!

Our guide was excellent. Shared so much information about the island, the challenges and the future. He seemed to know the wineries that we visited very well as he tried to make sure each of our experiences were on point with what we liked. Very hands on experience in a small group setting which made it great for having an intimate experience. If you are a wine drinker, this is definitely a must do. I am not a wine drinker but even I enjoyed the tour. Waiheke Island is absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing time with our small group. Book your next experience here! You wonʻt be disappointed.
