The Basics

Small-group guided tours or skip-the-line tickets help guarantee hassle-free access to this popular attraction. Private morning tours offering early access (before the museums are open to the general public) are also excellent ways to enjoy the Vatican’s treasures in relative peace, while many group tours combine the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Gardens. If you’re traveling with kids, consider a kid-friendly guided tour that focuses on the museum’s highlights.

Great experience
Even though this was a return visit to Sistine Chapel and museum - with Elisabetta, we learned new things and had a better appreciation of what we were seeing

Skip-the-Line: Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Guided Small-Group Tour
The map room was a highlight and amazing mozaics were beautiful and so well preserved. I was concerned about so many people during a Covid surge. Masked were enforced which was very important but still too close for comfort in crowded galleries.

Early Access Vatican Museums Semi-Private Tour with Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s
Your guide was knowledgeable but sometimes couldn’t hear everything due to loss of signal. Tour was easy to book. Was upset as paid to see st Peters Basilica but was told we couldn’t due to Covid restrictions but didn’t get a refund

Skip-the-Line: Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Guided Small-Group Tour
I took the Italian tour with Alberto. Because of COVID restrictions, we couldn't always spend lots of time in each room of the museums, but it was a good tour all the same.

We enjoyed our tour with Viator. The tour guide was very informative. I did feel we were rushed & would have liked more time . The guided tour of the Basilica was not included due to covid restrictions 😩 but our guide kindly escorted us there.

Skip-the-Line Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Group Tour
Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to address any additional questions which our party had. The Vatican is noisy and busy and keeping up was sometimes a challenge but there is no denying the knowledge our lady guide had. Because it was busy, getting to see some of the articles of interest that was being talked about at the time was missed.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Entrance Tickets or Tours
Niko was our host for our Skip-the-line tickets to the Vatican Museums. He was easy to find at our arranged meeting point and was most informative about the do’s and don’ts of touring the museums and provided the info we needed to start our self-guided tour of the museums and the Chapel.

Must do if you are visiting Rome! Tour guide (Rita) was excellent and very knowledgeable. There are so many things in the museum to see and without the guide we would not have know where to focus. Accurately described and easy to find meeting point.

I was late due to a mishap with the metro but the tour operator were really responsive to my messages and made sure that I still got the experience when I finally arrived.

Skip-the-Line: Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel Guided Small-Group Tour
The guide Giuseppe was very friendly. The tour was fairly interesting although there are only so many paintings that you want to see so it became a bit repetitive for me. By the time we got to the Sistine Chapel it was nothing special. There was a lot of people visiting, very busy but well managed. Apparently the crowds were small compared to pre Covid times.
