It took us to a part of Atlanta that we wouldn't have otherwise known about.
The pubs were funky with a good choice of drinks and food.
Based on what we learned on the tour, we came back the next day and explored the cemetery and the nieghbourhood.
The tour guide was fun and relaxed and gave us some good food and drink options at each of the pubs.
What would have made it even better
The tour guide had some interesting stories, but she needed to rehearse the delivery to a much greater extent. They were given too casually without a sense of drama. They came across more as a chat with a bunch of friends than as a dramatic retelling, which is what we were expecting.
It would have been amazing to be able to go through Oakland Cemetery. That could have really enhanced this tour. Maybe start the tour earlier, before it closes, or try to reach an agreement with the City to allow the tours to enter after dark. Just a thought, but for this type of tour, having an historic cemetery to go through would be a literal gold mine.
The tour advertisement indicated that the tour would be led by a person dressed as a Southern Gentleman or a Southern Belle. The guide did wear a costume, but it was more Goth than Gone with the Wind. You may want to change the way you advertise, or have a more strict dress code for the guides.
Overall we enjoyed the tour. However, as with anything, I think there is room to make it even better.
