This trip was so much fun. Our guide, Stephanie was very informative. She was a great guide and very sweet. We had plenty of time to see everything and get plenty of photos at all the stops. The bus was very comfortable, clean, and the best part was that you could buy drinks! Our driver was awesome also. He maneuvered the bus very well around corners and while driving in the rain. Highly recommend!

Bus broke down and had to wait 1 hour for another one. Our guide was excellent at rescheduling our tours.

The tour was very informative, the castles were beautiful. There are parts that are continuous 1km walk so if you have problems walking you should think twice about booking this tour... my Mom who was 70 had a bit of a hard time keeping up...

It was okay but the tour a little bit short due to traffic problem

Saw much more than we expected. Narrator was very thorough explaining where we were and the history was interesting.

Generally good. Just not enough time in the Neuschwanstein Castle vicinity. In particular, not enough time to go to the Bridge and back to take a nice photo shot at the Castle. Can do without the intermediate stopover at the Christ-Passion village for shopping - nothing much else to do there. Would rather spend more leisurely time in Neuschwanstein.

I booked this tour because it had such good reviews, however, this was not our experience and Ill be surprised if Viator posts it. We felt that this tour was somewhat disorganized. This trip was the one that did not include admission to the castle. Because it really was only transportation with some commentary the groups were bigger than expected at the Linderhof castle so we had to wait outside in the rain for other groups to leave. The tour guide, Hanae, seemed somewhat of a novice. There were little details provided other than some fluff commentary such as King Ludwig and his brother being mentally ill. For those of us who are not German natives it would have been helpful to know more detailed history about Germany at the time of his rule and about ownership of the castle today.
Neuschwanstein Castle was very dramatic, however there was work being done on it to finish it and all of the fabrics in every room were covered. They were a key part of the decor. One large hall was completely scaffolded and no explanation provided. This significantly detracted from the rooms. No explanations were ever provided. We had an electronic audio tour so we were unable to ask questions. We also felt that not enough detail was provided regarding the physical requirements. If you dont take the shuttle up the mountain, which is extra, the hike is fairly grueling. The hike down shouldnt be done by anyone with bad knees and there are many steps inside the castle which someone with even minor physical limitations would find challenging.

Finally, a different docent may have produced a higher rating on this review. Please consider for your guests that when you dont have a microphone a docent really needs to speak loudly to project to a group of 40-50 people especially outside and in the rain. We needed to double, quadruple, etc. ask her re: her directions. It was as if she was having a private conversation with those directly in front of her.
