Begin outside the Restaurant Weihenstephaner, next to the Hackescher Markt train station. Head first into the heart of old West Berlin, to the iconic Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Browse over 100 booths that have set up shop around the church, offering sweet waffles, decorations, clothing, and other treats.
Continue to Spandau, home to one of the largest Christmas markets in Germany with a slightly more local vibe. The market winds around the oldest church in Berlin, the 14th-century St. Nicholas Church, and features Christmas tunes from a live brass band.
Your final stop is the impressive Charlottenburg Palace. Located just before the palace gates, this Christmas market hosts around 250 vendors as well as a variety of rides for children. Learn the history behind this former summer residence for the House of Hohenzollern, a dynasty of former princes, electors, kings, and emperors, and warm up with a hot chocolate or traditional Christmas Glühwein (own expense). Your tour will conclude here.
