Take a walk through 300 years of Berlin history with a visit to the innovative new attraction, The Gate Berlin. The 20-minute multi-media show will whisk you on a journey through time from the glory years of the German Empire to the harrowing events of WWI and WWII, to the Love Parade of the 90s and the 2006 FIFA World Cup celebrations, right where it all happened – at the iconic Brandenburg Gate.
  • Single-use tickets for The Gate in Berlin
  • Experience Berlin’s newest attraction, just moments from the Brandenburg Gate
  • Discover 300 years of Berlin history through a spectacular multi-media show
  • Pre-booked tickets mean no waiting in line

Make your own way to The Gate in central Berlin, just a short stroll from the Brandenburg Gate, and use your prepaid ticket to gain entrance to the exhibit. Inside, either stand or take a seat as you prepare for your multimedia experience, a cutting-edge show using 87 high-tech video screens and a 36-channel sound system.

Then, get swept up in the history of Berlin, as the time travel show runs through the city’s historical milestones from 1650 to present day. Learn about the construction of the Brandenburg Gate, the seizure and return of the Quadriga, and the establishment of the German Empire. Watch as the city goes through the age of industrialization, the outbreak of World War I, and the Roaring Twenties, before becoming the capital of the Third Reich during World War II.

The journey continues through the Cold War years, during the years of a divided Berlin, and the mass protests and revolution that led to the fall of the wall. In more recent years, witness the joy of the Love Parade in the 1990s and the celebrations of the German National Football Team after the 2006 Fifa World Cup.

After watching the show, be sure to visit the Treasure Chamber, where dramatic photos depict the Brandenburg Gate throughout the centuries, then visit the café, which offers great views over the gate.

Please note: Shows begin every 20 minutes and ticket holders are welcome to stay inside for a second showing if they wish.
