6-Hour Marlborough Wine Region Guided Bike Tour

This has to be the best way to go wine tasting. The bikes and helmets were new and in great condition; the cycle paths on Marlborough's Golden Mile were flat and afforded gorgeous views of the vineyards; and our guide Basil knew a ton about wine. We had guided tastings at five different wineries, and at no point did we ever feel rushed. Also appreciated the minibus transportation from our accommodation to the bike collection point at Vine Village and back again.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable tour, very informative and very relaxed. Jackie was a very charming and engaging tour guide and we enjoyed all her inputs. Pick up from our accommodation was very prompt in a new and comfortable mini bus and the return was the same. The bikes we used were all new and well maintained and well equipped with storage basket for your cameras etc. A good selection of vineyards were programmed into the tour and gave a great all round flavour to the tour and at each we were given a full history and the tastings were comprehensive and well done. The distance cycled was in total about 6-7 Kms if that, so definitely not overtaxing. Lunch was at a beautiful setting at one of the winery's and was excellent, note, not included in the price, we did know this beforehand and very reasonably price which included a glass of your preferred wine from the tasting session. Overall an excellent day and a great way to conduct a wine tour. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a nice bike ride within the Marlborough region but with the emphasis on the wine not the ride.

Even though we chose the only day it rained, we had a great fun time. We started off at the first winery in the van but the weather improved slightly so they were happy to get us onto the bikes. The wineries were very informative, as was the tour guide and the wines were good for tasting. The bikes were in very good condition and the choice for size was extensive. Can recommend this experience as well worth it.

This was absolutely great. Our guides were amazing and we tasted lots of lovely wines!
