Really good experience. Our host was Mircea and he was very professional and knowledgable about the history of Romania. This is a walking trip so you will get to see the architecture and also little places off the beaten track. Well worth doing - recommended

In rather diffucult winter conditions, snow, ice and salt!, I had an excellent walk with my local guide Mihai Vataselu. I learnt so much about the history and the background of Bucharest and not at least about what happened during the last year of communism. We walked down the old main street Calea Victoriei packed with historic buildings and events from the revolution. His knowledge and presentation were outstanding. The tour could not follow the original plans, as I was there during the big demonstrations in February. The People's Palace was therefore closed for visitors. But for Mihai it was no problem to improvise and include other elements in the tour. He was an enthusiastic guide and a very pleasant company

Thanks for a well-documented communist tour of Bucharest! Mihai, the guide, structured the tour like a story that explained the various stages of the communist era, but also the history behind the attractions and the social life of the era. I liked the fact that the guide also brought along some old photos and magazines which helped a lot in visualizing the struggle of the people in the 80s and how Bucharest used to look before the severe demolitions. I would definitely recommend Mihai as a tour guide if you get the chance to visit Bucharest!
