Book your required option and after pickup from your Budapest hotel, travel to St. Stephen’s Basilica, the city’s biggest church and Hungary’s third-highest building.
On arrival, enjoy a 40-minute small-group tour of this neo-classical, 19th-century church. Admire the views from the cupola, and visit the treasury and chapel, home to Hungary’s most sacred relic, the mummified right hand (Szent Jobb) of Stephen. Then, admire the church interior and mosaics as you learn about their history.
Settle into your VIP seats — the best available — and enjoy the organ music. Devised by Miklos Teleki, one of Hungary’s leading organ artists, the 70-minute concert includes pieces by composers like Vivaldi and Mozart, as well as arias by Kolos Kovats, a top Hungarian concert and oratorio singer. See the Itinerary for a sample program.
Afterward, enjoy a return transfer to your hotel or, if you’ve upgraded, make the guided 10-minute walk to your cruise pier.
Here, board a sightseeing boat and admire Budapest’s illuminated skyline as you cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink and beverage of your choice, and savor a Hungarian and international buffet serenaded by live music. Additional drinks are available (own expense).
Your evening then finishes with a return hotel transfer.
