This destination, which sits halfway between Cape Town and Cape Point is a quiet fishing village that’s home to dozens of seals, small shops and lots of local charm. Enjoy leisure time to wander the streets and markets, or take an optional boat ride to Duiker Island (own expense).

Enjoy a scenic ride through the southernmost edge of the Cape Peninsula as you make your way to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Enjoy some free time here to tuck into a local lunch or wander the path to Cape Point where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet (as per legend). 

Make a stop at Simon’s Town on the False Bay Coast as you make your way back to Cape Town and opt to visit Boulder’s Beach (own expense) where you find a friendly colony of African penguins wandering the sandy shores. Afterward, drive through Fish Hoek and Muizenberg, then onto Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Take some time to explore this diverse ecosystem at the foot of Table Mountain and enjoy the beauty of the Cape Floral Region that’s proudly displayed at this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We enjoyed the hike by the lighthouse, the lunch spot and exploring the beautiful coastal town, and seeing the penguins. We also enjoyed having time to DIY explore the gardens. We wished we could get closer to the penguins since we had seen pictures of other tours that were on the beach with them. Overall, we would recommend this tour for all ages!

Tour was OK but very rushed. Wasn't offered boat trip to seal island or walk about Hout Bay. Had lunch in Simon's Town which was very good but again no time to see the town or walk about. Chapman's peak drive was fine but very rushed. It really was just a drive around. While it was OK and I can say yes I have been around the Cape Peninsula it really was not worth the money. Much better hiring a car or maybe use some other tour company.

This trip is a must do when visiting Cape Town. It is a full day excursion, but, it is well worth spending a day booking it. A beautiful drive along the coastline, stopping off along the way for photos, interesting landscapes along the way to see, finally entering the Park, you stop at the Cape of Good Hope where you have the best photo op by the sign to show you were at the most southerly point in South Africa. Then to the top of the mountain on the vehicular to see the lighthouse, more photo ops from there. Then a stop at The Boulders to see the little penguins on the beach, and, pretty close up views of them for pictures. Lots of local artisans selling their goods at this stop, musicians, dancers, etc., are also there. Very picturesque, and, interesting day, for sure. A MUST DO FOR SURE!
