Private Sightseeing Trip to the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguin Colony

Our guide met us with a sign in Cape Town. He was a good driver and flexible with our requests. He assisted with our handicap passenger. What a wonderful time and experience we had!

Had a really enjoyable day. It’s not the cheapest option to book a private tour, but the little extra cost is worth the flexibility and added comfort. Rodney, was a great guide, friendly and helpful, turned up early and took us to a great restaurant for lunch. He is funny and entertaining, but sadly lacks any knowledge of football....he will understand what I mean!

Letitia was the best guide ever! We saw more sites and had more fun than we could remember among all our travels worldwide! The trip up the coast started with the Boulder Penguins, 2,200 very small creatures presiding only in the area....from there on to Cape of Good Hope and then the Cape Hope. Views of beautiful coastline entering one small and delightful coastal town after the other and encountering baboons along the highway to Good Hope park which was immense and led us to the lighthouse with a fun climb to extraordinary views all the while being taught so much of the history and culture of SA and being entertained by Letitia and her sheer joy and humor. Our lunch and Cape Hope was lots of fun with great fresh seafood. Just when we were ready to call it a day, thankfully we were off the Table Mountain at Letitia’s insistence. It was incredible! A quick 3,000 meter ride up the tram and it seemed like we were atop the world in place that is now one of the 7 natural wonders. It was an extraordinary end to a fabulous day with the best guide ever - the amazing Letitia who we would recommend to all.

We have spent a great day with Seraphin! He is very knowledgeable about the history and nature of South Africa. He answered all of our questions. He was really interested in interacting with us as we have exchanged on his and on our family and life. A fine person!

We had an excellent tour guide Felix who shared the history of stops along the way along with other historical spots where we were not scheduled to stop. It was extremely windy when we went to the Cape. The sights are beautiful. At the Cape Lighthouse there are baboons. Leave any food in the car or be careful if you purchase takeaway food there as they will steal it from you.

My husband and I had a limited amount of time in Cape Town, and wanted to make the most of our visit. We hoped this tour would be a good way to maximize our experience, and it definitely was. Xavier picked us up at 8 and asked us what we wanted to see during the day, so we didn't end up repeating sites we had already been to. We also had to cut the tour a little short to make a flight, and that wasn't a problem at all - we were still able to see bo kaap, cape of good hope, boulder's beach, and take a 45 minute hike and have lunch before going back to the city. Even more important than the flexibility of the tour was how wonderful Xavier was. He is warm and charismatic and has so much knowledge about South African history, nature, politics, and anything else we thought to ask about. We would highly recommend this tour!
