After being picked up at your hotel, hop in the comfortable car to begin this private tour. Get a great view of Table Bay with Robben Island in the distance and make a quick stop at Maiden's Cove to get a glance of the Twelve Apostles and the picture-worthy view of Camps Bay. 

At Hout Bay, consider the optional excursion of taking the ferry to Duiker Island to get an up-close and personal view of hundreds of Cape Fur seals. If not, continue on to Chapman's Peak Drive. There is also an alternate route via the Constantia Forest with a stop on top of Boye's Drive with stunning views of the holiday village of Muizenberg down below. This panoramic tour continues along the False Bay coast to the lovely town of Simonstown where you visit the rare African penguins at Boulders Beach. You also visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Cape of Good Hope is the next stop. Take a scenic walk from Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point. Or consider the optional funicular ride to the lighthouses. The return journey takes you to Scarborough with mind-blowing waves at Misty Cliffs, a haven for kite surfers. The drive back to the hotel is via the University of Cape Town and Grootte Schuur hospital. The latter known is as the hospital where the first heart transplant was done in 1967 by Christiaan Barnard.

The tour itinerary is greAt, and shouldn’t be missed. Unfortunately our van broke down at noon and a replacement did not arrive until 5:15. As a result we sat on our hands at cape point and by the time we wetter picked up it was too late to stop in Simon town and the penguin facility was closed for the day. L we expected the tour operator to refund us part of the tour cost because of the inconvenience and missing out on part of the tour but no offer was made.

I am so sorry the practically new vehicle(H 1) broke down at Cape of Good Hope and I am utterly sorry for the inconvenience. The battery just decided it was the end of the road. The replacement vehicle had to come from Cape Town and time did not allow me first of all to finish the tour myself and secondly to allow them the experience of the penguins. I am in agreement that the clients be reimbursed 50% of the tour and should they return to Cape Town I will give them a complimentary tour.Once again my apologies.

We were fortunate to have Ivan as our guide who was prompt and very caring. He is from the area and is a treasure trove of information about the cape, all of our stops, and took us to a wonderful bayside stop for fresh fish and chips for lunch. One of the first stops was at Boulder's Beach where were able to get close and watch the African penguins interact with each other. The drives around the cape were stunning and thoroughly explained by Ivan. Other highlights were slowing down for the gorillas on the road, stopping to talk with a shark spotter at one of the local beaches, amazing views, and of course the Cape of Good Hope. This tour with Ivan was such an amazing, beautiful, enlightening day. So happy and satisfied with this tour.

Leonard our driver gave us a great day out. The scenery was amazing and he was very good at timing so we avoided the larger bus loads at our stops. We had lunch at a lovely restaurant right by the water and a short walk to see the penguins. On the way back we stopped at a winery. A perfect day.

A lovely older couple, Fanny and Ivan, drove us all around the Cape Town area in a van in one day. For a little extra we took a boat trip out to see Seal Island. We had only the one sightseeing day during a business trip to Cape Town and amazingly I feel like we saw everything. It was absolutely gorgeous and our guides were delightful company!!!!
