Excellent. Our guide, who also drove the Land Rover, was most enthusiastic. You could tell he enjoyed what he did. We had a great time. We were to meet the group in Piazza Stesicoro. It was a pretty straightforward walk from the cruise ship dock. The guide was there right on time. Another couple did not show and we waited about a half hour for them. After waiting a reasonable time, we left and started our drive. The time spent waiting did not impact the tour at all.

My fiancé and I went on a Sunday which meant we had the tour guide to ourselves! We had Alessio Gagliano who was a fantastic tour guide! He was very passionate and knowledgeable, also kind and welcoming even to our many questions. He truly made the experience worthwhile! The tour was well organised and very enjoyable.

Our family had a fabulous experience on our half-day tour. Marco was our guide and thought of everything including a stop for cappuccino before heading up. It was great to have a personable and super-knowledgeable guide. We not only learned a great deal about Etna and caves but also got great photos and a workout! He even delivered a book back to our villa that I forgot I put under the seat! My teenagers said it was one of the most fun days we had in beautiful Sicily.

Luca was a brilliant guide. Really knew his stuff on Etna. Gave us an excellent experience and allowed us to go up on the cable car. Top man we had a good chat about Rugby and I hope he watches the Lions this Saturday.

What a threat this trip was. Marco and Franchesco from Etna Finder were enthusiastic, informative which made the science, history and geology of My Etna so interesting. They were on time, happy to make coffee stops, but the biggest threat was at the end sampling local honey. Thanks so much

This was an absolutely fabulous tour. Our guide had a perfect command of English, was incredibly knowledgeable and dispensed this in an interesting and entertaining way. He was happy to answer questions, and we got to experience a fantastic day at Etna. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this tour as an enjoyable excursion for those who want to learn more about Etna - it was great. My wife and I were fortunate to have this tour to ourselves with two guides from the team Guglielmo and Fabio. We were picked up from our hotel promptly and after introductions started our journey towards Etna. During this drive Fabio was pointing out interesting volcanic features of the landscape, talking about the vulcanology of Etna and it's formation. Both of the guides were very knowledgeable about the subject and the discourse just on the journey was very interesting around where Sicily is on the tectonic plates and the interaction of the fracture point and the meeting of the European and African tectonic plates - I'm no vulcanologist but I have seen a lot of documentaries so I was able to understand and discuss these sort of things freely - Fabio made it clear that he would normally be a lot less technical depending on the audience so don't be put off. Conversely, if you are a vulcanologist then these guys can give you chapter and verse on lava flows, eruptions throughout history etc. and all delivered with a real enthusiasasm and love of the subject that shines through. My wife and I spent the next few hours passing through different weather patterns rain, hail, snow, sunshine as we made our progress up Etna with stop off points to see lava fields, walk, talk and explore the sights with our guides. The views where spectacular - in the sunshine looking up to a snow crested Etna with venting gases on the northern side creating clouds that circumnavigated the peak - absolutely glorious. We even stopped at a ranger station for coffee and cake which has giant maps of Etna with all known lava flows colour coded on it which were interesting to see. We were even treated to a quick stop on our way back to a local apiary to taste some different flavoured honey and liquers. Well worth it as we bought 3 jars of delicious honey to bring home.
