Great views, surprisingly good weather, flexibility possible with the small group. A lot of activities, which adds another flavour of exploring Ireland. It is a bit physically demanding if you choose to do all the activities to the full extent, but it is so much worth it!

I can't say enough about this tour! This was the first time I've taken an arranged tour of another country rather than setting up my own trip. What a wonderful change. It's just so nice to get picked up every day and not have to worry about any of the details. And there is no way I could ever make the same bookings for this price - you definitely benefit from group pricing. Overland Ireland made all the arrangements and they are an excellent outfit! Lisa was our guide for the week and she is exceptionally cheerful, helpful, knowledgeable - and just plain fun to be with. Clearly this job suits her.
I loved all the outings - even the ones I didn't think I'd participate in. Surfing is fun though not easy. But that's the beauty of this trip - if you don't want to do something, there is always some alternative you can participate in. That was something Lisa was very good at, making people comfortable with doing an alternative outing.
Overall this trip was a little more athletic than I expected. That actually made it that much more fun for me and I'm 60. If I had to say there was a down side - it's that there's not much time to just do souvenir shopping or sit in a pub. But I'll take more experiences over souvenirs any day.
The hotels and B and B's are very nice and comfortable, only one was a little on the small side. Breakfast was always very good. We could count on Lisa for a great suggestion for dinner or an evening activity - such as an Irish step dancing show.
I would go back to Ireland in a heartbeat. This tour took us to places that were not teeming with other travelers. Having a smaller, 12 person charter bus super comfortable allowed us to get in anywhere. The countryside is gorgeous and being able to see it with someone else doing the driving is the best.
This was not my first Viator booking and they haven't let me down yet :

Best thing I've ever done! Great small group tour around the best parts of Ireland. I will absolutely be doing this again. Our guide, Reinier, was great - entertaining, helpful and full of information! I will definitely be using Overland Ireland again!
