How It Works: The Dublin Pass is available as a single- or multi-day pass. Just purchase the duration you’d like—up to six consecutive days—and design your perfect itinerary. Download your pass and use it on your mobile device at each participating location for admission.

Soak up Dublin’s rich history and culture at locations like Christ Church Cathedral, Dalkey Castle, the GAA Museum and the Guinness Storehouse, where you can sip on a creamy stout while admiring the city from the 7th-floor bar. Your ticket is valid from first use—so plan ahead and purchase your ticket in advance.
  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Please note: The Dublin Pass entitles the bearer to admission to each attraction once per day. For example, if you have a 2-day Dublin Pass, you can visit the same attraction on the two successive days. However, admission will be denied if you try to gain entry to the same attraction more than once on any given day
  • Your Dublin Pass will be immediately as your "ticket" after purchase. Use for direct entry into the attractions.
  • Wheelchair accessible

Great value for money!

We used the Dublin pass for two days and definitely get our money's worth! Dublin us brilliant and there's so much to see and do. I feel like you definitely need more time to be able to do everything. The best value for money would be the 5-day pass as you would be able to see absolutely everything without rushing around at all. It all depends on whether you have the time to spend in the city. So in our two days we did: Hop-on sightseeing bus, GPO building, Teeling Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery and Dublinia. For the two distilleries, you need to join a tour group, so it would be good to go in the morning to pre-book your time slot. Guinness Storehouse allows re-entry on the same day if you haven't finished the tour. We also did Kilmainham Gaol but that's not included in the pass, so we could have potentially done more. We rushed around all day to do as much as possible but we couldn't have gotten any more done in the two days. We had free drinks at Hard stock Cafe and a free gift in Carroll's Gift Store thanks to the pass. For reference, If you purchase your Dublin pass through Viator, you get an email with mobile tickets which you just present on entry to any of the sights. All in all, I'd recommend the Dublin Pass for sure! The only slightly annoying part of booking this way is that you have to go into a tourist center to ask for a spare guide book, but that's available online too. Their guide book actually has some misleading information on opening times for some of the sights.

I purchased a 2 day Dublin Pass - I assumed that this gave me two days on the hop on hop off bus plus free entry to some of the venues for those two days. I was surprised to learn on the first day that I was only entitled to one day on the hop on hop off bus, and two days of entry to the various venue.

Great way to see Dublin, with free admission and other perks

Hop on Hop off Bus is a great way to tour through Dublin and get a sense of the the city, all while listening to a recording or live guide describing the sites, and history. The Dublin Pass was great... gets you free admission to a lot of the top attractions, including the Guineas Storehouse, Jameson Distillary, EPIC museum, and the Jeannie Johnston Tall ship.... you also get to skip to the front of the line at some places....

Great way to get around

Never really used the pass for entry at any of the attractions, mostly just do to my own time constraints. Was really good to use to get to the key places. Drivers are really good and got some good jokes and willing to give directions if you ask.

Beware of underuse

Only of value if you intend to go to the most touristy of tourist sites in quick succession. The bus gives a useful overview of the city, but because it meanders it can take a long time to get to the place you want to alight. One of our buses also broke down. Occasionally the bus lingers at a stop for no apparent reason, testing one’s patience. The recorded commentary is much clearer to hear than the commentary provided by a driver, which can be verbose and inaudible as well as annoyingly anecdotal.

Don't use this vendor. Go Direct

This vendor was horrible. They didn't give us the e-ticket or send us any information like the book they say you get. I had to contact Viator 3 times and they couldn't help me either. When I got to Dublin I went to a Dublin Travel Info store and they were wonderful and gave me everything I needed. Go there or direct to Dublin Pass.

Great way to see the city and what you wanted to explore later. Drivers that spoke were wonderful. Full of information, and very, very comical. Keep them and pay them well. They really made the bus ride fun. Rate it "A"

Start time, wait time and Buses

Regular hop on hop off. Sometimes there is a guide and sometimes not. Peter was a great guide. The problem was that viator/TripAdvisor did not give all the info needed nor did the Dublin pass site. Boarding starts at 9 am at the first stop. The buses will be a red one Sightseeing Dublin that has a colorful design or the Big Bus that is Maroon and Off-White. The first stop you will have to find a sign a block north and across the street of the GMO. The wait time between buses is usually 30 mins. So if you get out of Book of Trinity/Book of Kells and get to the stop around 11:15. Then wait about 15-30 mins depending on traffic. I hope this helps.

Excellent value. A must have if you are in Dublin especially for a short visit. You get to see things you probably wouldn't do if you had to buy the ticket separately. You do have to get alot in each day which means moving quickly. I would recommend at least getting the two day pass so you can get more in. We loved the tours of Jameson distillery, Teeling Distillery, and the Guiness Storehouse. Those asking with the Hop on, Hop off bus tour made it worth it. We did a few other things we would not have done without the pass. My only advice is know the bus schedule and drop off/pick up points. There is an app for the busses which was a lifesaver.
