The tour which was set to start at 10.30 am in the morning was shifted to 9.30 am via email. Accordingly I turned up in front of the pick up point - the mural map at the ticket office an hour early just to avoid the heat. I was left waiting even after the appointed hour because the guide never showed up and I kept asking the information counter staff for assistance and they said they cant help me and that I have to wait for the staff to turn up. Finally I managed to find one of the staff of the Alhambra who asked me for the name of the guide, their contact details or the name of the company which I assumed was Viator none of which I had or were provided beforehand. Finally he managed to contact the staff who after prolonged protraction offered me a tour on the same day at either 1.30 or 3.30 pm on the same day. this completely messed up my itinerary and I had to skip visiting the other monuments I had planned to because I had to live in the evening. The tour guide who turned up at 1.30 didnt even offer an apology. This was quite shoddy and badly organised and left me with feeling bad
A fabulous tour. The Alhambra is amazing, but that goes without saying. I highly recommend taking a tour. We got so much out of the experience due to the knowledge of our guide, Angel. If we had just walked through on our own, we would have missed the history behind and detail within the architecture. My husband and two teenagers loved the tour. Angel was great, fluent in English, and passionate about the Alhambra.
