Why Travellers Choose This Tour

Traveling by minivan means you can access areas off limits to larger buses.
Spend a full day exploring the natural wonders of Australia’s Great Ocean Road. Your guide picks you up at centrally located Melbourne hotels in a comfortable, high-tech minicoach, where you join just a handful of other passengers for a personalized, small-group experience. Onboard narration is available in 13 different languages through specially equipped iPods.

The Great Ocean Road officially begins at Torquay, a famous surf town of gorgeous, sandy beaches. Stop at a beachside location before continuing through several charming port towns before stopping at Great Otway National Park, which boasts ancient trees among a semitropical forest.

The coastal landscape comes to a dramatic climax at Port Campbell National Park, where you can gawk at the Twelve Apostles—a grouping of massive limestone pillars that rise up out of the ocean.

The rugged cliffs along the Great Ocean Road once made for perilous navigation for vessels sailing into the port of Melbourne. Hear the tragic tales of Australia’s ‘Shipwreck Coast’ and visit Loch Ard Gorge, the postcard-worthy site of a notorious 1878 shipwreck.

Finally, view the Gibson's Steps for a dramatic example of the power of erosion. Take in the incredible cliff line and offshore stacks before continuing on your drive back to Melbourne.

Stop for dinner (own expense) on the return drive to Melbourne. Relax on the ride back to your hotel, or share snapshots of the day with family and friends using the coach’s free onboard Wi-Fi.

An amazing experience

The tour was excellent. Mel our guide was very good at her job. She was a lot of fun. The fact that we had many stops on a very long day made it a lot more interesting. We would definitely recommend Go West.

This was the highlight of our Melbourne visit. Adrian , our tour guide, was a great host--- very careful driving , very safe, great time management and above all with a great humor which made this trip the MOST enjoyable one. I would strongly recommend this tour esp with Adrian if you are lucky.

Wonderful day seeing the highlights on the first part of the road from Melbourne. Superb scenery. So glad we saw this amazing coastline. Paul the driver and guide was superb. He gave lots of useful info and was so helpful. We certainly recommend this tour even though it is quite a long day.
Nice, not enough activity

This is a nice tour. The stops help break up the long drive out from Melbourne. The challenge is that there are several scenic points that should be added. The guide was professional and tried to keep the tour on track. Lunch and dinner options provided were a good touch as well. The shipwreck, rainforest and others were beautiful stops that really showed off the area.

Our guide was very knowledgeable The sights and the tour were interesting. The length of the day and provision for eating along the way were poor.
Excellent day out

Enjoyable road trip along the Great Ocean Road. Excellent guide was informative and helpful. Great views of the many sights and not too crowded even at the busy places. My only tip would be to pack some snacks for the journey home. We had a dinner stop in Coolac but the choices for food there were not great. Overall a marvellous day out from Melbourne.

Well organised, enjoyable tour

Tour was very well organised. Never felt that we were in the bus too long between stops. Our tour guide, Chris, made every effort to take us to the best viewing points and provided us with a variety of information en route. I feel that the tour was an excellent snapshot of the great ocean road, especially given it was only 1 day. The tour bus was comfy but not have phone charging points so bring a power bank to allow for the numerous photos. We really enjoyed the stop with wild-but-friendly birds, including parrots and the ability to go koala spotting. Overall a great day, thanks Chris.
