Once you touch down at La Aurora International Airport (GUA), your driver will meet you outside of the airport’s Cafe Baretto; a perfect place to grab your first cup of Guatemalan coffee. Hop in the car and get sit back while your driver navigates the roadways to Antigua. Although both cities are within 25 miles of each other, the trip can take over an hour due to traffic congestion.

Our driver will wait for you as you exit the arrivals hall. Before leaving the airport building, walk to your right and you'll see a small cafe called "Cafe Baretto". The driver will have a sign with your name on it and will wait outside the exit doors of the cafe. For those traveling from Antigua to the airport, please specify your Antigua pick up address. Your driver will drop you at the entrance to the departures hall at La Aurora International Airport.

I wish I had requested a driver that I could communicate with me and speak a little more than a word or two of English. When I requested to stop and get some food, he got the manager on the phone and I explained it to him . We had passed many Mc Donald's, taco bells, Wendy's , then he said to me chicken, I said yes, ok. He pulled into this chicken place. I ordered a chicken burger and fries. The worst tasting I've ever eaten. I had read reviews that drivers had stopped for people to pick up groceries and that's what I needed. So be sure to ask for an English speaker or someone that has Google translate and don't make the same mistake I did

Everything went smoothly. The directions to the meeting point were accurate and our driver Julio met us. The drive too about 1.5 hours. It was his personal car, a Mazda 3 sedan, which was clean and he played 80's music.

This was SUCH an easy reliable way to get from Guatemala City to Antigua. Our flight got delayed and even then the travel company was on top of it and messaging me on WhatsApp for updates so they could ensure we were picked up on time. The actual driver Fernanda was very nice and safe and wished us well on our trip. Would totally recommend this to anyone needing these services!
