Start with 3:30am pickup at your hotel in Bodrum or surrounding towns—see “Booking Details” for a complete list of pickup locations—then travel to the Milas–Bodrum airport for a 1-hour, 15-minute flight to Istanbul, where a driver/guide will meet you upon arrival.
The first stop is Topkapi Palace, an elegant Ottoman complex with views across the Bosphorus Strait. Once the home of sultans and courtiers, the palace now houses a remarkable collection of Islamic relics, Ottoman costumes, and Chinese porcelain.
Following the guided tour of Topkapi Palace, you’ll have one hour of free time to purchase lunch at a nearby café before continuing to the Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. See the landmarks of Hippodrome Square, once the site of ancient games and gladiatorial events, then continue to the Blue Mosque to see the brilliant-blue, Iznik tiles that line the interior domes.
Brush up your bargaining skills at the Egyptian Bazaar, where you can shop for unique souvenirs, spices, and handicrafts from around the country. After your time at the Egyptian Bazaar, you’ll have the option to add on a sightseeing cruise on the Bosphorus Strait and dinner at a local restaurant (cruise and dinner are not included in the price of this tour).
At roughly 8pm, the guide will deliver you to the Istanbul airport in time for your return flight to Bodrum, where a driver will meet you for transfer to your hotel.
