True Beauty of Nature

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Mar 2020
What a beautiful national Park... The game drives shawed me more elephants at once that I have ever seen naturally in one place. Also brought me in such close proximity with my favourite animals - Giraffes! Then a beautiful buffet lunch served and day ended off with an awesome boat safari in the Chobe river where we witnessed even more incredible game.

Safari bargain!

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Jan 2020
I saw so many elephants and hippos as well as advaarks and buffalos and other animals. On the way back, and outside the park I saw several baboons. I had been in a safari in Kenya weeks before and we spotted groups of baboons on the road miles away from the park. In addition I spotted baboons out side of customs in three countries. Curious! This was a great value. In one day I saw so many animals by 4x4 and boat. And the buffet lunch was great -- both the food and the luscious setting.

Overbooked the Jeep and the seat was broken

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Dec 2019
The overall animal viewing of this day trip was great. The sheer number of elephants was just amazing. With that being said, when we went to get into the Jeep, there was 1 too many people for the number of seats in the back. So they told my In-Laws, my wife, and I to all cram onto 3 seats, so we were sitting right on the uncomfortable bars. Well a nice gentleman volunteered to sit in the front seat and my MIL took his seat in the back. Well it turns out this seat was broken and bounced all over the place so we now understood why he was so eager to offer his seat. I wish I could give it more stars because we were able to see some amazing animals, but it is just unprofessional to overbook a tour if you don't have enough seats in the Jeep!

A great day out!

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Dec 2019
Amazing day trip from Zimbabwe. This was such a well organised tour. Punctual and a great opportunity for spotting the Big 5. Friendly guides and just all around a great day out. This is a must-do if you are in the region. Not to be misses! However, there was some waiting around at times which is fine considering you are doing multiple border crossings and paperwork for park entry but it does chew into the excursion. And although a buffet lunch was provided with an array of options, it was average at best. Consider starting the tour earlier and possibly going to local restaurant.

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Dec 2018
We loved the boat and game drive. We were on the smaller boat and it was great because we could get closer to shore and get a closer look at the animals. Our guides were great and stopping for us and giving us enough time to take pictures. The lunch was delicious too, good veggie options.

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Dec 2018
Fantastic day trip from Victoria falls. Every thing went like clockwork. Fantastic guides, spotted numerous wart hogs, baboons, elephants and a giraffe, and that was only on the journey to the border. The border experience was interesting in itself.Fabulous road safari in open side 4x4 and amongst other interesting animals and birds including fish eagle and vulchers , we spotted a pride of lions and the crème de la crème got 12 foot away from a leopold, which apparently is quite rare! We have fabulous photos! The buffet lunch was brilliant at the Chobe lodge and the river trip exciting, 9 of us in a small boat really exciting, we saw numerous hippos, crocs, bird life, cape buffalo, impalas and other wild life too much to mention. You get a bit wet from the spray but that only adds to the excitement, and they provide waterproof capes. On our way back to the hotel we stopped by the road and encountered a herd of 15 elephants, a full family! we also saw mongoose.A fantastic trip well worth every penny, cannot recommend enough

Stuck in the sand

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Sep 2018
The morning river cruise was fantastic. We saw elephants cross the river. Baby elephants used their trunks as snorkels! What we missed was a look at the hippos. There were lots of them around but after we spent too much time with the elephants, we had no time for the hippos. The afternoon game drive was a disaster. The Toyota pickups used were not up to the job. We floundered around in deep sand and finally both trucks became hopelessly stuck.Another tour with a Toyota Land Cruiser came along and pulled us out.By then we were late and the border was about to close. No time for a bathroom break and we made a wild dash for the border. We got there five minutes before the border closed and we would have been stuck for the night. It certainly was an adventure but not quite what we had in mind.

Did not seem worth it

star-3
Hwange Day Trip From Victoria Falls | Jul 2018
The excursion went from relaxed to rushed. The trip to the reserve was a bit disorganized, as the driver and game guide were not in sync on the meeting location. Which seemed to delay our start time for the reserve. Once in the reserve we basically did 2 out and backs on trails primarily through bush, which made it difficult to see much more than birds for most of the trip. We were able to see some game near the watering holes. For the largest park in Zimbabwe and having supposedly 2 game drives, we seemed to see very little of the park. The excursion was also cut short by our game guide, and when confronted with that fact he just brushed it off and proceeded to drop us off for the drive back to Victoria Falls

Chobe Day Trip From Victoria Falls | May 2018

We were not sure about booking this tour while spending 3 days at Victoria Falls. This tour ended up being one of the highlights of our 3 weeks vacation in South Africa and Zimbabwe. If you have a few days in Victoria Falls, do not miss this tour. If you are in the planning stages of your trip, include an extra day in Victoria Falls so that you can do this tour. You won't regret it. Wildlife viewing here is fantastic. The tour is extremely well organized, and it is the perfect length.
