What To Expect
Make your own way to the pier by Ross Castle in time for a 12pm, 1.45pm or 3.15pm departure, and hop aboard for a thrilling 1-hour cruise around the Killarney Lakes. Set sail across Lough Léin and enjoy impressive views of the 15th-century Ross Castle and the ruins of St. Finian’s monastery on Innisfallen Island. Continue past Ross Island and the Copper mines, and take in magnificent views of the lakes, islands, and forests from the panoramic glass windows. Listen to the on-board commentary as you pass beneath the dramatic peaks of the MacGillycuddy Reeks and catch sight of Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil. If you’re lucky, you might also spot some of the national park’s wildlife, such as herds of red deer grazing on the lakeside or white-tailed eagles swooping overhead. The Lakes of Killarney Cruise was beautiful, but I've paid 4 extra to have an pick up service that does not exist.
